Important win! Not pretty, but it doesn't have to be. Butt and Faye were excellent today. Lovely to see Barton on the pitch, though he didn't get a chance to do much.

When it comes off, people love it. When it doesn't come off, it's 'long ball rubbish'. Can't have it both ways. He's had three very good balls for Martins, two of which he caught. Been a half-decent game so far, nothing special really. Zoggy's been good, as has Faye and Beye. A bit disappointed with Emre, he hasn't been bad at all, but he hasn't shined like he can. Saying that, we've dominated the midfield, Jenas has been absolutely shite.

Just heard that on Sky but it is not true, they've not lost in 6 games. Not lost in 6 games, winless in there last 7 premiership games, facing there 5 consecutive loss against Newcastle. Their, ffs.
