So, if we had all strikers available, you'd play Ameobi and Owen? What part of 2 of the first 3 choices didn't you get. tongue.gif tough one, probably the of the first part...

  6. We haven't lost for five games and three of them have been wins. Impressive for a team who's form is bad

that was from the wigan end cheescake. The spurs end was sold out as per usual. Well fancy that. Pompey barely had half their allocation full today. How much is the away allocation, by the way?
  8. Really. Edit: That wasmy 1000th post
  9. Think we can say that about the chartlon game aswell, tbh. I think this game is a bit glorified, the first half wasn't that good at all and the first 10-15 minutes of the second half wasn't too encouriging as well. Still, we comfirtably beat the 4th best team this season, so im not disappointed at all
  10. Can't really argue with that. I don't believe Martins to be injury prone player, so lets see if he can find his scoring boots. Him and Sibierski might as well get a partnership. Isn't Huntington a central defender? Would be smarter to play taylor to the right, since he's got more experience. otherwise, that's probably the team that should be played It's doing that thing that was done with Taylor and Ramage, starting a CB at RB for his first few appearances then switch him to CB. It's too much to ask Huntington to start at CB I reckon, it's less demanding at fullback. You got a point, though I think that it'd be better to play him in his natural position

  12. I know, and I'm one of the Luque-supporters. Didn't know how to fit him in. Want to see O'Brien, been a fan of his since some game I saw him play, like his pace and I think he might become a very good player. Perhaps rest Nobby and play Luque to the right?
  13. Duff will not be missed, 5 million down the drain which could have been spent where we needed it rather than just because he appeared to be a bargain. Think you, and many more, are giving up on Duff too early.
  14. given Taylor Bramble Huntington (Academy/Reserve leftback) Nobby Pattison Emre O'Brien Sibiersky Troisi (??) I must admit, I don't have a clue who I think should play, but I would love to see Roeder give lots of youths a chance

Why on earth do people say these things? Do you understand how thin and injury-prone our squad is? Clearly not, since you actually wish injury on players. Getting rid of them won't help anything, managing them properly would. Don't you think we're better off with Martins and Dyer/Sibiersky than with Shola up front? Statistically, no. Sholas scored as many as Sibi. It's the fact that some of you want MORE players out injured. This shouldn't be the case. It's Roeder's fault; he should be playing the better partnerships/more in-form player, not just who he thinks is the better player (ie. he'll automatically play Carr ahead of Solano at RB, Parker ahead of Butt at DM etc). If you don't think we're better off with other players on the pitch, then of course you don't want him injured. Myself, I think that Ameobi is a liability on the field and because that Roeder, and other managers before him, don't want to drop him, the only way for us to be a better team is with him injured.

    Sibierski

How many goals in how many games? Cups included. Didn't someone quote from some city forums with city fans laughing that they even got paid for him? Think we're laughing now
  17. his cut looked nasty, btw. Great that he could keep playing.
  18. Agree with every point except i'd give dyer a 9
  19. agree. I asked who they were after the arsenal game, didn't get any replies though. Only one i know is northern monkey, but i don't think anyone really cares about his oinion.

  21. they made the rules clear before the WC, it was correct to allow it.
  22. was anyone else worried sick when Dyer looked injured? On the tele they showed him holding the back of his thigh was sure it was his hamstring. such a relief when it was just a cut. What a player he is, absolutely amazing. always backed him, always said that we're a different side with him in the team. Another point, the commentators was on about sibi being offside for the goal, really pissed me off. was so much talk about that new offside rule before the wc, and that was classic example. Great to see Zoggy showing his last years form, hope his injury isn't serious (though it looked like it was )
  23. Pros Dyer, Solano, Martins, Sibiersky, Emre, Zoggy Cons Injuries on Parker, Zoggy and (yes, even i think its a con!!) Milner.
