Spending the Richarlison money and telling FFP to go fuck itself I'd assume.

With all respect to Leicester as well, why would Maddison/his agent even want a new deal with them right now? The cool thing for players to do these days is to run their contracts down and get an insane offer somewhere else. And as much ad I've loved to see Leicester competing with the Super League 6 over the last few years, there's absolutely no guarantee that they will be able to stay at that level over the next 3-5 years. -
The Cucurella deal to Chelsea fucking stinks IMO. Spending that amount on a player who isn't even needed is just next level shite for the game. Chelsea would have left backs worth a 1/3 of our club ffs

We literally never lock threads for players, even if they end up signing for someone else. No idea why it's still being suggested on here -

I agree with your point that it's definitely not pointless, but I might just disagree with you that Darlow wouldn't be one worst back ups in the league. He's absolutely bloody awful IMO. -

Is that scene available on YouTube? It's so bloody funny knowing what happened -

Sounds like they didn't bother with our first bid and just rejected it straight away, but this one they might be doing just that? -

There will be fucking loads of paperwork to go over, with clauses and bonuses etc. Then you know, people might actually need some time to consider things There are so many people involved in a transfer, I'm surprised any gets done quickly at all tbh. -

As much as I love Isak, Maddison is currently a better player. That said, I'd still be happier signing Isak, but that's purely because of personal reasons. Maddison offers better value for the club IMO. -
Are Chelsea really signing a back up left back for £50m?

He's easily worth £60m IMO. Not saying we should just bid it outright, but if he's attainable for that price we should do whatever we can to get him. Apart from diving to win a penalty against us, he's been one of my favourite players in the PL the last few seasons. Would be such an incredible signing. -

Maddison is much, much better than Barnes (whom I rate highly as well), so even though Barnes play in a more important position, I'd take Maddison every st of the week. It would be a massive statement signing as well. -

Which stats do you expect to prove owt here? I'm talking about the flow and pace of the game, nothing any stats could show being better or worse. My team in Sweden won 13 out of 15 home games, drawing the other two, last season with the 5 sub rule and I can tell you it's absolute shite. When winning, it becomes too easy for the better team make a couple of double subs which disrupts the game and puts fresh legs on and makes it too easy to hold on to the lead. -
Rather win 4-3 than lose 1-0 or something.

Love that we've had a cracking pre season without even having seen our best XI in any of the games. Would say that most starters are nailed on, with the only exceptions being CB and third CM. Pope might not have 100% claimed the starting spot in goal yet neither, but would be very surprised if he doesn't start against Forest.

Nah, it's fucking shite. Think it's probably more to do with managers thinking it might benefit them to have more substitutes, but honestly mate, there are no advantages. I say this as a fan of one of the better side in the Swedish league and a Newcastle fan so I see it from both sides. -

It's arguably worse than VAR, and I fucking hate VAR. It makes so many games in the last 20 minutes feel like friendlies, especially if the better team is in a winning position. -
Aye, you never want to play a newly promoted team in the opening 10 games. However, it's a huge advantage that it's not away.

I can't remember who it was, but a manager in the Swedish league argued that it would benefit the worse teams as towards the end of a game quality doesn't matter as much as just being able to bring on some fresh legs. Obviously a load of bollocks like, and I fucking hate the 5 subs rule, having watched it for a couple of seasons now, it's absolutely shite. -

Another Ashley era type signing if it comes off. Worrying.
