  1. Think Liverpool will bottle it.
  2. Quite incredible how Pardew and Allardyce has this Palace team anywhere near the relegation zone.
  3. Fucking hell, that defending.

hope not, log trek next season that Still a chance that Palace can get relegated man
  6. Nah, he was canny last season as well. Nowhere near as prolific as he's been this season mind, but you could see he has talent. Scored 11 in his last 14. He's in great form atm and based on that form he'd probably cost 20-25m+. Not sure I'd take a chance on that. If, and that's a big if, there's any truth in this rumour, Rafa wouldn't buy him because of his incredible form this spring, it'd be more of a long term scouting job. FWIW, I was at the Czech Republic - Norway WC qualifier last year, he was the best player on the pitch by a mile. I already rated him, so wasn't surprised, but my mate who isn't that much of a PL fan had never heard of him and he kept saying how impressed he was with him as well.

    Fun88

Do we know it's fun88? Pretty sure nothing has been confirmed yet. Besides Philips or Sony wouldn't go near us. Yeah, I get that those are mega brands who want CL clubs, but you would think we could attract 2nd or 3rd tier brands of the same type. Huwei or Weetabix or some shit. I'd take that. Huawei would be puntastic, they clearly don't know what they are missing out by not sponsoring us.
  10. Since Ashley didn't have a fucking clue how to run a football club, he's constantly been learning by looking at other clubs and trying to apply it to us. There was the Villa model, the Arsenal model, the Everton model etc in the early days. After relegation and in the Pardew era, all the rage was to buy cheap from France, because Cabaye and Ben Arfa worked, and sell expensive. Obviously in this era, we barely spent a bloody penny and went on that ridiculously long run of not signing a single permanent player. When that phase was over and we nearly got relegated under Carver, Ashley seems to have woken up to the landscape that for a club to improve, you need to spend money. Lo and behold, Schteve (or Carr, depending on how you look at it) is given a massive transfer war chest. Problem here is that Ashley still doesn't understand the importance of a good manager. At this stage, he's yet to have made a single good managerial appointment, with Keegan being the exception, that was more of an emotional appointment rather than going and getting one of the best managers around. He simply doesn't get that spending doesn't equal success if you've got no one there to make the signings successful. The Schteve experiment obviously fails massively, and perhaps this is when he learns that having a class manager and spending money on the squad is what's needed to run a successful football club. We end up being lucky as hell that one of the best managers in the world is available and for some reason is willing to take us on, despite the mess we were in (according to reports, not even Moyes would touch us, that's the state we were in!). Rafa wins us the Championship title first time of asking with mostly his signings making the difference. Perhaps Ashley has finally found a manger he can trust with his money, both because of his reputation in the game and because he's seen how well does here. Here's hoping!
  11. Think the shock outgoing could be Shelvey. Despite how good he was last season, I've still got doubts if he is what Rafa wants in the PL.
  12. The £100m for 'wages and training ground' is far more exciting than the £70m for transfers IMO. Think he means £30m there. From £100m 70 is for transfers and 30 for the rest. Aye, clearly does, my bad. Still, hopefully we can keep working on the training ground to make it into one of the best and modern in Europe.

  14. Nah, don't think they would. Perhaps an interview with Rafa or Little Mike at the absolute most. As has been said before, it's not the meetings that are the problems, it's whether Ashley/Charnley lives up to the promises they make.
  15. Just got to hope for Spurs away in the second half of the season, after the league cup final
  16. which club, us? Aye. Was such a good pre season last year when we weren't travelling to the other side of the world just to get a bit of exposure, but just concentrated on preparing for the season. Suppose it's inevitable with the new Asian sponsors as well as the way the game is going though.
  17. When Brighton got that free kick in the dying seconds though
  18. Ended up 9 points clear of third place and 13 clear of Huddersfield.
