  1. 'He already plays for Sunderland, but he impressed me a lot', Carr is quoted saying to Expressen. http://www.expressen.se/sport/fotboll/landslaget/joel-asoro-hyllas-av-arsenal--newcastle/
  2. On the other hand, it has given Rafa two weeks to work with the new players.
  3. Can't wait for this now so we've got some real football to watch. A win here would be massive, and we should beat them given both teams form.
  4. Not a great night for the finalists of the Euros. Portugal losing to 2-0 Switzerland and France being held to a 0-0 against Belarus.
  5. Das Boot coming on for Wijnaldum And within seconds, Holland score. Coincidence?
  6. So unfair so far Think I'm ready to start calling Wijnaldum crap, another invisible away "performance" from him so far.
  7. "Senderos is a child of Serbian (Zorica Novković) and Spanish (Julián Senderos) immigrants." And yet it's true! Who would have guessed? Besides France, for obvious proximity reasons, there was a very large Spanish immigration into Switzerland during Franco times, to perform menial and industry jobs. Also Germany. That's why there's so many Swiss and German players in that list. In more recent times England has been a favorite destination, so I guess in 20+ years there might be a George García up there. I think they are jumping the gun a bit with Lallana (I think he has a Spanish grandfather but that's it). Doesn't seem to a problem for the "Irish" tbf. Doesn't seem to be a problem for you either tbf Without fail
  8. Almost everyone on here, even those of us that doesn't rate Sissoko, knew he'd go for a big fee thanks to his occasional great game and Euro performance. Doesn't prove that he's a good player at all.

Doubt that'll stop the mackems being up in arms about it, mind.
  11. Did you have a bet on Sissoko not leaving for more than £20m?

Nah, Wilshere is top level. Obviously it's a moot point now, but apart from injury he would have gone on to be one of the best midfielders in Europe IMO. He's as good as Modric, for example. Wilshere is not anywhere near as good as Modric and I say that as someone that likes him as a player Modric is arguably the best midfielder in Europe like. Wilshere is class, but he isn't that good.
  18. He played every fucking game last year, so not really
