The Russian equalises.

2 domestic and 2 overseas then? Just did a quick search and aye, I think that's it. Only one from one club though (i.e we couldn't get Tevez and Barry from City.) Thank fuck for that
-
I thought there was just a limit to domestic loans? [/football manager] IIRC, it's three loans total, but only one loan from the same club. Not sure though.
-
He does get forward quite a bit, but his crossing is generally poor. I do think he's got every chance to improve on that though, as he's still getting used to Premiership football and will get better.
-
Hopefully on a five and a half year deal like everyone else is getting :fwap:
-
Barton dropped? That's not even the worst thing about that line up.
-
Been very, very impressed with him this year. So much so, that I wouldn't say that a RB is a priority these days, I'm quite happy to let him keep that spot
-
He certainly is not a dirty player. He's a hard player, but much of that comes from his incredible body strength. Love how frustrated he looks when he gets a booking. His booking today was justified though, good thing Modric managed to get out of the way, it was a very bad tackle.

So Smith goes off and then Tiote gets sent off. Then what? Then we'd have tried and failed, and we'd still be 10v10 and still a chance to get something from it. Now we didn't even try and failed. Tiote didn't get sent off anyway, so I don't really see your argument.
-
Does anyone have any confident that Smith will ever do anything useful with the ball? Your answer should be no, and therefore he should have been the one to leave the pitch when we are chasing the game with one man more on the pitch. And I say this as someone who reckons Jonas is fucking shite.

Krul Simpson Williamson Coloccini Enrique Barton Tiote Nolan Routledge Ranger Carroll

Shocking stuff today. We saw the tendencies against Liverpool, but the last two games have been horrible one-route football. If Carroll isn't winning everything in the air, we're creating nowt. Embarrassing how we've gone from being very decent at keeping possession to this garbage.
-
Not at his best today, which incidentally made us look very unlikely to score.
-
Barton's been fantastic, a true captains performance. EDIT: apart from his set pieces.
-
Still not as good as the save from Nasris shot like.
-
Smith and Perch both start = £5 on Spurs to score from a penalty.
-
Christ, that's a poor team Up to Carroll and Barton to save us if we want anything from this.
-
Oh fuck.

You are probably right on the second account because we are seen as a below average Premiership club who just got promoted, but there are quite a few better strikers (non English) that would be valued at below 30M. Carrol is good and has age on his side but by no means is he a world class striker, let alone a finished product. Disagree. This season, Carroll has been a world class striker. He's got 11 goals and 3 assists (and IIRC, that's not counting Sholas second in the derby and Bartons vs Liverpool) in 18 games in the league so far, and on top of that, he's winning pretty much everything in the air and I'd say that no defender that we've faced so far has been able to cope with him. Officially 6. Right, I was looking at the ESPN stats. Although they also claim that he's got 39 on his back, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised it wasn't accurate

Wilshere and Nasri.

It's not just that he can't cross, he can't shoot and he can't pass either. It's embarrassing, his feet are like frying pans, he can whack a ball in the general direction of where he wants it to go, but he's got no control what happens to the ball. Usually if he's to play a 15 yard pass, it'll end up bouncing and being a couple of yards off, making it very difficult for the team mate to do anything with it. It wouldn't surprise me if he's the player who's got the highest percentage of giving up possession in our team.

Liverpool mate texted me after the game and asked if I fancied swapping AC9 for Torres. I told him to get fucked.

Honestly can't believe how unpopular Routledge is here. He was certainly one of our best players in the Championship, he proper took the piss out of that league and he was good against Chelsea and even better today. People seem to be basing their opinion of him from a few games at the start of the season when he was playing in front of Perch. People are saying it's madness to "play two players out of position" when I suggest we play Routledge LW and Barton RW, but considering Barton is putting in great performance after great performance on the right, why would we want to change that? And with Jonas getting worse by the game, Routledge needs to be given a chance on that side. He would have to do a fucking terrible job there to be worse than Jonas atm.
