Same as Barton really. They both stand a chance against your average full back, they'll struggle to beat the quickest ones for pace though, but they both have other qualities to make up for a lack of lightening pace.

:spit: That's even worse than the Michael Owen dossier

Smith showed last year that he isn't good enough even for the Championship.
-
Haven't you seen enough of Nolan behind the striker to see that he is not very good at that role as well as the rest of the team being much, much better when playing 4-4-2? Yes, Seb is right footed, but so is Jonas. Not really. Havn't got to see many games the last 6 months, but he seems to be excelling in the box, while contributing little else bar his captain duties on the pitch, so why not give him a more offensive role? Because he is too easy to mark when he's played just behind a lone striker. He also isn't good enough at linking attack to midfield when he's played that far up the pitch, he does a lot better job when he's played more centrally and distributes the ball to our wingers.

How? The players hated him. We hadn't won for 7 games before he had his heart problem. We didn't look in too bad a position though. I reckon in those games Hughton/Calderwood took charge of we'd have gained at least an extra 2 points under Kinnear and he'd have probably gained at least an extra couple from Shearer's games. He might have been a clueless twat but if he stayed till May there'd have been far less 'turmoil' or 'uncertainty' or whatever you want to call it surrounding the club. He was a stabilising influence on the club, that's pretty much all I can say positive about the man. A bit late, but yes, you are probably right. However, had we survived that season, Kinnear would have stayed on and we would, without a doubt, have been relegated last season, and our team would probably have been worse than it was last year. As for Smith to Leeds: Shame it's just talk about a loan.

He's actually serious as well
-
No thanks. Barton is better out right and Nolan is better in the middle. Seb should come in for Jonas on the left.
-
Söderberg or Harper on the bench though?
-
Aye. Nothing in Swedish media about this yet btw. Nothing surprising there mind. Ah that's what i thought, a girl i know knows him, spoke about him when at Arsenal. Her tits were nice, probably value them around 100K. Yeah i checked sportbladet earlier as well. GBP or SEK?

Tall Striker, you should be ashamed of yourself. Including the cricket, but not the fact that Ben Arfa signed a 4½ year deal
-
Would be well happy with this. Excellent crosser of the ball, decent passer and a takes a good free kick. Nice to add another full international to our squad as well
-
How can they be "safe" if they are in the drop zone?
-
He did, and he had two attempts against Wigan as well.
-
Not what is being said at Spurs. Not close, not likely. Yeah, would that be what Pardew and Redknapp has said?
-
Getting old, time to get rid.
-
Has Barton won you over yet? Considering what he's said in the last couple of match threads, I'd say yes. Never know with madras though.

Shane Ferguson At only 11 years old, he became the youngest ever player to feature in European top flight football. He is already being branded about as "the next, next Messi".
-
I actually thought Wigan were worse than West Ham, just that we looked off the pace on Sunday, while today we were brilliant. It's pretty much impossible to predict at this stage though.
-
Two MASSIVE wins. 7 points from the drop zone now IIRC, and with so many teams between us and there, they can't all pick up points even if we do go on another bad run.
-
Seriously though, Ferguson looks ridiculously young Mind, he's been canny the couple of times I've seen him.
-
Surely at least one of them has to go tomorrow?
-
It was Enrique, but yes, I was shouting at him as well. Not like it matters much
-
Ferguson, Vuckic and Kadar must play, the rest I'm not really bothered about.
