    Hatem Ben Arfa

Stoke should be the target then, surely? As we don't have many games in March, hopefully we'll be able to play him quite a bit in behind-closed-doors friendlies and reserve games to get his fitness going.
  2. Bloody hope not Yes he did. Heard it on the radio and seen it in print. I feel sorry for the players really. Just as they start to think the club is making progress, they as well as the fans get knocked back down to earth. Yet again they will have to resort to their mental strength and unity to push on. I wonder if this has damaged their relationship with Pardew. After insisting since he arrived that Carroll would not be sold and then saying he was involved in the decison to sell, how can the players trust what he says now. Hughton protected them - I think Pardew will end up alienating them. Nowt wrong with that quote IMO. He's just saying what we are all feeling, he'll probably assure the lads that it will be for the greater good come summer and that it is up to them now to prove themselves.

    Fernando Torres

Why does every single Liverpool supporter seem to think that Torres loves that club so much? It's about as daft as saying that Oba loved Newcastle more than anything in the world.
  4. I'll bet you £100 that we won't go down this year. PM me for details.
  5. That is well out of order from Nolan, he should have kept his mouth shut.
  6. Aye, me too. It probably helps that Carroll hasn't played for us for quite some time and that he wouldn't play tomorrow anyway.
  7. Barton and Jose will have seen players leave the clubs they've been at before. Like I said, Hughton getting sacked was infinitely worse than Carroll being sold, if Barton was prepared to sign a contract despite his manager getting sacked, he won't care too much about Carroll being sold for a new British record transfer fee.
  8. Considering he's a couple of weeks away from being fit, I'd prepare myself for disappointment
  9. That's a fair shout, something I've wondered. Surely could've grabbed one or two players from them to help us for the rest of the season. Who? Their team is fucking garbage apart from their two new strikers man I can't say I know who, I know fuck all about the Liverpool squad, but surely there would have been a couple of players in there they would've parted with who could've played a fair role for us, even just until the end of the season? We're pretty well covered in all positions bar strikers and wingers. Their third choice striker is NGog, who I do not want and who they'll need until Carroll is fit. Their wingers are shite, certainly not an upgrade on either Barton or Ben Arfa, would be a pointless signing.

  11. This is starting to feel like the South Park episode "Two Days Before The Day After Tomorrow", when everyone just forgets about the issue at hand and are just focusing on who is to blame. Honestly, I don't really care. I'm blaming Carroll, but I can certainly see why people will blame Ashley/Llambias. Let's just hope we can keep our decent run going and get a win on Wednesday; Carroll would not have played that game anyway.
  12. They declined a £30m offer? When it becomes clear that Carroll does not want to stay unless he gets a fuck off rise, as well as an improved offer of £35m plus add ons comes in they will probably have thought that it's too good a deal to turn down. I agree with them as well fwiw, if that is what happened. It's just a shame that it had to come on the last day of the window without time to get us a decent striker.
  13. Hughton getting sacked was far, far worse than Carroll being sold for £35m after handing in a transfer request.
  14. yep- how i see it. "Oh, no, HE'S ASKING ME! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?! "

    Alan Pardew

I trust Pardew on this, and if what he says is true, then the club have acted the way I would expect them to. Sorry Andy, you can't expect to get a new contract when you've just signed a five year deal three months ago. Now go and batter someone and get locked up you greedy cunt.
  16. Feels like he's been close to signing a contract for two weeks now, just get it sorted so we can move on to Jose next.
  17. We could try Routledge just off Ameo... oh wait.
  18. I usually quite like Caulkin, but that's shit. Yeah, we've clearly been paid in £50 notes.
