Doesn't look like he hits Best at all. -
I'll bet you £100 that we won't go down this year. PM me for details. I replied to your PM. Said I couldn't afford £100, then offered you £10. No reply.... Yeah, basically £10 is just not worth it IMO.

Wenger: "The foul from Barton was pretty bad." Fuck off you French cunt, Barton didn't foul Diaby so focus on your players being soft shites instead of blaming the referee.

"If the Arsenal players don't like getting tackled they should play basketball instead"

Really looking forward to see him play for us. Seems like a confidence player, and this group should be perfect for him.

I'd say the club was lacking ambition if we hadn't accepted the deal, limiting ourselves to a stupidly overhyped, glorified battering ram of a striker who, if anything limited our style of play. We can get players a on a different level to AC with that cash. Seriously what is with the clamour for Carroll on here, he's not that good and never will be, he wasn't even the best player in our squad. What tools apart from heading does he really have to make it as a great player? His skill is average, as is his pace, intelligence and finishing. People need to give their heads a shake saying he was going to be a PL great (not specifically you Dave), after scoring 11 goals in one of the worst standard seasons in the league's history, a season where Leon Best has scored a hattrick and a newly promoted club has hit 5+ goals in 3 matches and lets not forget Kevin Nolan already has 10 goals as well. We now have a great chance to build a good footballing side with some higher level players, with this money we can get 6/7 Ben Afra/Tiote like signings ffs, If Andy Carroll had stayed we'd have been confined to alot of boring route 1 stuff and i wouldn't want a team to be built around him for long as he can only take you to a certain level as aplayer. Onwards and upwards i say. Good luck with that. Jesus H. Christ. I'm sure that post is all just in our heads, it can't really have happened, can it?

Newcastle United vs Arsenal - 5/2/2011 - Pre match despair

What happens if Tiote gets two bookings in this? One match suspension (for one red card) two match suspension (for 10 yellow cards) or three match suspension (one for a red card and two for ten bookings)? -
I can't believe your U-turn like Feels like yesterday I was having arguments with you almost daily that we would finish above 17th and you were all doom and gloom

Agreed 100% When the hell is Andy Carroll going to be worth more than £35m? Even if he realises his potential I assume by then there would be some kind of financial regulations in place within football to stop enormous fees in the future. So long as the money is invested in the TEAM in the summer, Ashley did a very good bit of business with the Carroll sale. agree. especially when caroll asked nufc to match the wages liverpool was offering him! atm i like the wage-structure we have....its the only way to progress and it will more or less only attract players who really want to play for us! Yep. Said the same thing myself yesterday. Would be gutted if we broke our wage structure to accomodate a money-hungry player. The wage bill should be a bit less in the championship. Thats where unambitious, badly run clubs wind up. What about ambitious clubs that spend way beyond their means and end up with financial problems so big that they get a 10 pt deduction and get relegated?

Thank Christ. Well yes, but I was relating it to goals. We'll still have Ameobi as our best striker up front. When he's back. Sorry like but with the strikers we have left no point having Joey wide right any more.. back in the middle for me in a 4-5-1 -----------------Harps Simo-----Willi-----------Colo--------Jose ------------------Tiote Jonas----Bart-----------Ireland-----HBA ---------------Best/Ranger That's an interesting midfield, and could well be our best option. I'd worry though that we'd miss Nolan's goals, in which case, I'd drop Jonas and have a three man midfield of Barton-Tiote-Nolan, with Ireland and HBA in free roles within a 4-3-2-1. Tough one. Skirge is bonkers wanting to drop Nolan for Jonas. What you said is how I'd play with everyone fit.

Class interview with him on nufctv. "We deserved to lose. When we defend all the game and don't attack, a goal is going to come. I made a mistake for the goal and for that I'm sad." Asked about the last few days, if it's been hard: "No, not really. Of course Andy Carroll was a big player for us, but I think it'll be good for Newcastle, and good for him. Everyone must understand him, he got a much, much better contract than here."
-
Worse decision than selling Carroll.

I'll bet you £100 that we won't go down this year. PM me for details. Get any reply? No. Offer still stands.
-
Welcome back, son. We've missed you. Five points I reckon his suspension has cost us, btw.
-
Played on the wings most of his career though tbf. He surely can't be much worse as a striker than what we've currently got?
-
80k being reported.
-
Still visibly affected the players IMO. It was the blue shirts.
-
Excellent first half, then he just felt sorry for Fulham and stopped playing in the second half.
-
Just a reminder: He wouldn't have played today anyway.
-
Get young Shane on. He'll offer us more.
-
The only times he's kept possession has been when he's passed it back to Jose.
