Apart from scoring a few goals. Few being the key word. We can't rely on him up front at the best of times never mind now. Honestly some of his play was embarrassing last night, I wouldn't mind but he's like that 2 games in 3, like I said he does very little other than score the odd goal which just isn't enough really. That pass where it went out of play, that control where it come off his shin, the dilly dallying, the constant misreading of Shola's knockdowns, that moment where he pointed for Shola to play it which he did, only for him to seemingly forget where he pointed to, going the other way instead. Thick as pig shit that lad up stairs on that pitch.

Just out of interest, why would you drop Duff? IMO he was our best player over the full 90 yesterday. Because he's got absolutely no end product. He's looked better recently, a lot quicker and have managed to actually take on his man as well, but he can't deliver a ball. Geremi is his complete opposite, he's slow and can't beat his man, but he can deliver quality balls. Suppose it depends on whether you want flair and pace or someone who can deliver. Wouldn't be massively disappointed to see Duff ahead of Geremi, but I'd prefer Geremi (and possibly Zoggy too, but for different reasons) over Duff.

Given Beye Taylor Coloccini Bassong/Enrique Geremi Barton Guthrie Jonas Owen Martins Won't happen though.

I thought Taylor and Colo both had good games today. For their goal, it was a good run and a good pass, and I'd say a lack of communication and understanding between our CDs is what allowed it to happen.

If we can keep Jonas and Owen fit, those two alone have got enough quality to keep us in the Premiership, IMO.

That's exactly what I'm on about and why I said he offered nothing, the whole point of a player in his position is to set players up with scoring chances, he doesn't do that though, he's so frustrating. Reminded me of N'Zogbia a bit tonight, tbh. Did well with the ball at his feet and looked quite quick, but when he had to deliver, he just failed.

Can I just ask in what ways has Martins been better than Ameobi the last 2-3 games? we know martins is good enough and we know ameobi isnt. simple as that for me. saw a diffrent martins to me tonight, i thought he was awful. i meant in general. ameobi has done well for half of 3 games but he's just not good enough. martins can get 15+ a season and that, for us, is good enough. It's what's happening now what important to us, and at the minute, Ameobi has scored as many as Martins, in far fewer minutes. Minutes played: Martins 379, Ameobi: 444 I've worked it out as Martins 475, to Ameobi 419. I think you might want to check your calculator then. Talking league only, by the way, but you're still wrong when it comes to Ameobi.
