Shearer is the last person I want to see as Manager, he has no experience and like some one said earlier not all good players make good Managers, in the Roy Keane situation he had one of the best Managers around to learn his trade from. Any way he managed in the Premiership yet although he is doing a good job with Sunderland at the moment.

Agree with everything said there, actually Souness got the best out of him he was our DMC and Emre was the creative one and it worked very well, so I don't know why Roeder is making Parker play the style of football he is playing at the moment.

As much as I dislike him and have always said he wasn't the man for us it would be foolish to sack him now, it would have a negative influence on everybody. So long as we stay out of relegation because that's all I can see us doing this season I'll be happy until next summer if we get a new Manager, hopefully not Shearer!, he needs to prove himself first in the lower leagues.

Yep, as assistant manager too. I must admit, if Shearer came back in that role, I'd be far happier and a lot more optimistic. Why? Anything in particular that makes you think he'd be any good at it? His dispute with Gullit clearly shows he's the type of person who will put his own interests ahead of the club, so as far as I'm concerned I don't want him in any role within the club now he's not playing until he's proven himself elsewhere. I say get rid ASAP! he's done absolutely nothing that will convince me he is a good Manager all the wins have been most of the time very lucky ones nothing to do with his Managing skills. I think it's pretty sad that we should be happy with 6th position at the end of the season.

I agree with most said but I would have had Edgar down the left with Taylor in the centre with Gooch and of course Nobby on the right. I just think that Edgar is a bit better than Huntington and maybe a bit more adaptable.

I have no faith in Roeder what so ever!, the only time he seems to get it right is when we have a lot of injuries and then the team picks itself, other wise the man is clueless it's okay for him to say everyone was to blame for yesterdays debacle, I hope he put himself on top of the list for his team selection to start with never alone his tactics.
