Always liked Tymoschuck, think he is a fantastic defensive midfielder, but not a chance of him or Arshavin arriving here, they play for the wealthiest team in Eastern Europe and have Champions League football.

Easy to see why Valencia are looking to sell Villa/Silva etc. They look seriously in the mire. Aye they have had to cancel there approach for Racing manager cause they cant afford him so they will be selling more than them two The construction of a new stadium added to their already large debt is crippling them.

This.

And so, No Koeman, and a 3-0 victory!

The season has been a disaster for Valencia, the manager at the start of the season Quique Sanchez Flores fell out with the sporting director Amedeo Carboni. They never sorted their differences, and after some avergae displays the supporters were calling for the head of Flores. He left, the ego maniac Koeman arrived and immediately tried to throw his weight about, make his mark and show who was the boss, wielding the axe to Canizares, Albelda and Angulo, 3 long serving and key squad members. That didn't sit well with the rest of the squad, and he started fielding younger players and he attempted to stamp his authority upon the squad, whilst some of the players used, have lots of potential and have bright futures, they were not ready to be thrown in at the deep end. Confidence was shot and the players started playing for themselves, lifting themselves for cup games, and basically playing how they wanted to play in those games. The players believe they work best in a 4-4-2, Koeman preferred 4-3-3/4-5-1 or even some experiments with 3-5-2, which didn't work. Koeman, thankfully, has now gone, and Voro is in charge, the first thing he did was bring back Albelda, canizares and Angulo to train with the first team squad. Key players have spent much of the season out injured also, David Villa suffered a lack of form and service for a key chunk of the season, and will be gone in the summer, and despite his goals, isn't the most popular character in the dressing room. Vicente has had an injury nightmare for the best part of two years, and whilst he was one of the worlds best wingers, major doubts remain as to what sort of level he can return to. Joaquin has obvious quality, but has struggled due to Koeman's rotation of him. Miguel still has much to offer but seems disillusioned and uninterested and maybe needs a move to get going again. The squad has plenty of quality, Albelda, Albiol, Silva, Vicente, Joaquin, Morientes, Villa, Mata, Canizares, Hildebrand, Sunny, and Banega, and they should just avoid the drop, but there could still be a huge clearout in the summer, when, Marcelino is expected to take charge.

I remember after the Juventus game a few years back, cringing when Andy Griffin removed his top to swap shirts at the end, he looked really flabby considering he was/is a pro sportsmen that trains every day.

Dean Ashton looks like he is carrying some timber since he returned from injury.

One big signing like Bentley would be a real statement of intent and open the door for further ambitious signings whilst convincing the likes of Owen that their future lies with us.
-
Did Dunne sign a new contract? I can see him arriving in the summer, along with SWP. Both proven Premiership performers, and both are probably better than what we have in their positions.
-
Didn't Valencia spend something like £12m on him? Maybe a bit too expensive for someone like him I think, but then again I haven't seen him on that many occasions. They did pay quite a bit for him, £17m I think! Thats what stopped him joining Portsmouth when he was on loan there, he had some clause in his contract that meant Pompey had to pay £12m if he played a certain amount of games. But he was out of favour at Valencia, Koemen didn't fancy him and let him out on loan. I don't think he would cost anywhere near as much because Valencia are heavily in debt. Although the fact Koemen probably won't be sticking around might change everything. A player i would love to see us sign. Could certainly be the creative playmaking type that we need.
-
I think SWP is very realistic given his relationship with Keegan.
-
Does anyone think we could get Manuel Fernandes? He's at Everton only on loan from Valencia, and would be an excellent addition.
-
Wouldn't be that unhappy with that, although I can already hear the criticism of Lennon - "headless chicken, no-end product, new Dyer etc etc" - that will come from some people. They would have a point Indeed they would. Another one who thinks he is better than he is.
-
Crouch isnt a Viduka type player Nicklas Bendtner would be a better signing Please NO, he thinks he is the second coming of Pele.
-
Good luck to him, he gets a bit of a rough ride on here, he obviously isn't great, and isn't of the required standard if we want to be pushing into the top of the Premiership, but fair play to Shola, he loves the club, and there are a few players I would rather see heading out of the door before him.
-
He was sensational that night, frustrating that he doesn't produce that form more often.
-
Really can't see this happening, spent the majority of his time at Arsenal crying about being homesick or the overly physical Premiership. On his day a decent player, and a step up from Duff.

Johann Vogel is available, not great, but in the short term possibly an improvement on our midfield players! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3253132,00.html Mark Hughes admits he is looking at trialists Johann Vogel and Quinton Fortune with a view to next season rather than this one. Both midfielders are training with Blackburn and looking to land contracts at Ewood Park. Former Manchester United star Fortune has been training with the club since last week, whilst Swiss international Vogel joined up earlier this week. "Johann Vogel has the right pedigree, but his career came to a stop because he had a dispute with his previous club that took six months to untangle," said Hughes. "I've seen him play many, many times - and he is the right quality. "But the situation is we have to see if he would be fit enough to make an impact over the rest of this season or whether we should consider it for next season. "It would be difficult for them to make an impact at the business end of the season. "Nothing will be decided in the next couple of weeks on either player."

Says this on Wikipedia: In February 2008 the French football magazine L'Equipe stated that Paul Le Guen had been keeping tabs on the powerful striker during his time with Rangers, and as a result the current Rangers manager Walter Smith has also openly admitted his desire to sign Gomis in the summer. St-Étienne are holding out for a price of £3.3 million, negotiations are set to begin in the summer window. On Februrary 29, 2008 The Daily Mirror reported Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan was planning a £12 Million bid for Gomis.

Just to summarise, Alan Smith is a waste of skin.
-
Indeed he does, Lazy and knows nothing!

Hate the bloke, hope he rots and dies. Notice he jumped on the "lets bring down chelsea" bandwagon this week. He often jumps on it when he is bored, has nothing sensible to write about or isn't shoveling food into his fat face.
