Fabricio Coloccini signed from Deportivo La Coruña on 5 year deal

Aye I think that would be for the best. -
Not every club would allow permission if they were intent on keeping the player.

Chill Ha ha, its just all this on off shite does my head in when a transfer should be as simple as this: Wise: Well hello there Mr Deportivo we are looking purchase Colocinni from you for 9.5 million pounds, so what say thee? Mr Deportivo: No, I want 10.5 million pounds for my player my good fellow. Wise: Ah I see good sir, 10.5 million pounds it is then my friend. Mr Deportivo: Good, you now have permission to speak with Mr Coloccinni. Wise: Jolly good sir. Mr Coloccini: I want £60,000 a week Mr Wise. Wise: 60 grand you say?, how about £50,000 a week plus a lifetimes supply of free steak bakes from Greggs? Mr Coloccinni: Deal. Wise: So Mr Deportivo, we have agreed personal terms with Mr Coloccinni are you happy to confirm the deal? Mr Deportivo: Without question Mr Wise sir. Simple innit? That was all correct till the last bit where it went: Mr Deportivo: Nah mate, changed my mind, I want 2 mill more Wise:Fuckerrrrrrrrrrrr -

Than it was when? Old board, I didn't want to say it because we all know what follows after that Not really fair to compare tbh. We bought some real shite under the old lot and have bought some real shite under this lot. In actual fact all this stuff about 'policies' is a load of bollocks iyam. We just wanted young players, yet Jonas is 26. We didn't want anyone from South America, then got Jonas. We didn't want to pay big money, but we 'supposedly' pay Viduka et al loads of money. We've 'supposedly' offered this guy twice what he's on now. All us as fans can do is wait and see who we get and how they turn out. Well, I was referring more to the way we conducted ourselves towards the transfers. -

Surely if the manager is close to finding a replacement or even looking for that matter, means that the chairman has given him the go ahead to start looking and realizing the deal is likely to go ahead? -

Our transfer policy is far better than it was, however it would be very disappointing if we were to miss out on a player with the quality of Coloccini especially after Modric aswell, I'm still hopeful though. -

I haven't read anything to suggest that the president has gone to Venezuela. Enrique said that earlier but I asked him for a source and he didn't reply. On the same Depor forum. -

I'm still not convinced there's been anything more than the initial quotes. It's all just different interpretations of the same stuff isn't it? Yes, I'm getting frustrated at the lack of progress, I believe it would be a brilliant signing and the longer it goes on the more I see it slipping away. -

...and? And you were asking if he's done alright anywhere, he played very well last season. I think he's dodgy. Who did you watch him against? -

Him and Lafita were Deportivo's best players last season. -

He acts as the chairman, he's the one dealing with the negotiations of the transfer. -

I think we'll get this done, we've been trying to get him for the last 3 months, he's obviously our no.1 target, is that something we're going to miss out on because of a few million? I don't think so. -

The agent has clarified that he didn't travel because of physical reasons then not because he was angry.
