  1. I honestly feel bad for Carver. He basicaly goes along with what comes his way, if you stick with Sir Bobby and you stick with Pardew, you can stick with anyone. He sees his chance now but it's painful to watch him advertise himself like that. As if someone encouraged him to try something he wasn't ever meant to do.
  2. Remember the cup policy was much born out of Pardew's inability to handle both cups and league. Our existence as a Premier League team was in jeopardy because of him being s***, not too good the year before. If that helped develop this unwillingness to qualify for Europe or go for the cups, surely a manager with actual ability can change that by showing them it's doable. Edit: What Beren said, pretty much.
  3. This happend... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/gerry-francis-ponders-newcastle-offer-956381.html
  4. FFS can't wait till he's back in League One.
  5. After getting Carr in (which would also be the reason for this guy coming), it would be the best IMO. Still a long way to go mind, but it being in both le parisien and l'equipe is a decent start. Aye, wonder where the fuck we'd be without Carr. Anyway, this guy seems to be the balls. http://i.imgur.com/0VsNm1R.jpg
  6. Selling the pile of shit to Palace to bring this guy in would be one of the best moves we've made under Ashley, if not the best.
  7. We have no idea if this was or is the case.
  8. Imagine having an actual manager.
  9. If Krul's back we might not concede one million goals.
  10. What do you expect? Be careful what you wish for.
  11. Hope we go for him, sounds perfect.
  12. Evans has never distanced himself from this "movement" supporting him, right? Football clubs are social institutions, they have no obligation to bring convicted criminals back into the establishment, they have a choice. If this was us, I'd prefer it if we didn't, especially in this particular case because of the nature of the crime and the criminal's behaviour in the aftermath. I feel this case is similar to Luke McCormick at Plymouth. Killed two children while drink-driving, now club captain. There are other ways back into society, I don't see why football clubs have to shoulder that responsibility.
  13. This is the consequence of "affordable football". It's consuming an experience, not supporting a football club anymore. The club's communication is only regarding deals and discounts, we communicate in the exact same manner as any retailer. I thought we were complaining it's too expensive? Hard to keep track of which pitchfork I should be raising. Nevermind what's going on in reality. The club has been championing that line for a few years, "we remain committed to offer affordable football" still serves an impression of the club doing good in a time where other clubs are charging premium. It's another way of swaying opinion, getting people onside.

    John Carver

From that Daily Mail article: Ben Stevens says: 'If we’ve conceded a left foot free-kick into the top corner, he’ll come in and say "you didn’t tell me he could do that". Thankfully that doesn’t happen very often.' No, we just conceded in every other way possible all the time.

It's him. He's also in the most ironic picture ever taken on this planet. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/04/27/article-2136234-12C2BBCA000005DC-5_964x635.jpg
  18. How fucking long has he been at the club?

Is this the analyst on the right here? Ben Stevens or whatever his name was. That guy's fucking shit anyway. http://i4.chroniclelive.co.uk/incoming/article6893754.ece/alternates/s615/Alan-Pardew-and-Mike-Ashley.jpg
  20. If Alnwick plays at Chelsea and we have these orcs in charge we could be in for an almighty slap.
