I'd like to say no but I don't wanna lie to you bimpy, I couldn't look myself in the mirror ever again. I'd take a boring 1-0 to be honest, I hate the way we play but I want to secure our premership status first and foremost. After that though it's up to him to prove me wrong in that I think he's incapable of having us attack well and defend well at the same time. And at least make things enjoyable when watching us.

It's not even just tonight, a lot of our games this season we've had fuck all in terms of shots on goal.

He did alright, but i really wish one of our players would just go take the ball off him when he has it at his feet.. his aimless punts just gave the ball back to benfica tonight.

I think some people have genuine concern for our style of play. If anything people who gives credit to Pardew time and time again are those who probably don't see football enough outside of our club. I'm not being harsh on Pardew tonight, he did what he was capable of, but I do disagree with his approach. This would be me, the style of play is the thing i hate. I want decent football, attacking football and it's never happening under Pardew. 2 years is long enough to see what football he wants us to play, and it's ugly mostly defensive tripe imo. My main problem with him as well, when we attack everything is so slow and dull.. and that shouldn't be the case with some of the players we have, especially when you see clubs all over Europe with inferior players playing better football than us each week.

I have no problem with going defensive against Benfica because they're a good side. My problem is with pretty much every premiership game where all our players look like individuals who have just met up for a five a side kick about. I think the main gripe with Pardew is how boring our games are, we very rarely really threaten the opposition with flowing attacking moves or even basic pass and move football. On the plus side though, having ben arfa and marv in the same team we looked a lot better, but I doubt we'll both see them start against Sunderland, when in reality they should.

Oh god.. we're going to see THAT set piece again aren't we?

For what it's worth I don't think we should sack him now as I believe we'll be ok this season, but if it were possible (not that i think it will happen) i'd part ways with Pardew in the summer. I'm all for stability if we are actually heading in the right direction, but my god I've never been so bored watching us in all my life than i have this season.. (norwich away for example pissed me right off because it was norwich yet we played like we did v city yesterday). I'm not sure what people are expecting to happen next season that will be different to this, you'd think after as long as he's been here there would be signs of a style implemented, some cohesion and movement improvements maybe not the finished article but improvements, but it's quite clear that when we have the ball our players haven't a clue what to do next, I mean cisse much get the shitest service of any striker in the league. I mean I'm not asking us to become Barcelona, but if you look throughout the leagues in Europe there are a lot of teams that play better football than us with inferior players. I also don't buy this thing that if we are missing a few players it means we automatically have to play shit, the whole point of having a squad is for the manager to use them in an effective manner but ours seem completely incapable of this and just blames the performance on the fact we have like 2 players injured.

Man city are the better team and i'm fine with going there away from home and 'making it hard' for them but what annoys me is the fact that it's so obvious we have no idea what to do when we have the ball, our front 4 often look like they've never played together, and this is in most games, not just today.

Wing forward, number 10, attacking midfield, and wing. I'm about as good at tackling as modric like..

He was on the pitch at the end with the rest of the team, so i doubt it's that bad.

I'm happy we won, but my god we need to get an attacking coach in because we look absolutely dreadful in the final third, no ideas at all. Can we trade our corners for throw in's btw?
