  1. Yep, I've talked about this before on here, specifically about Bobby. That's when you know the fans and the team are really together. Great stuff.
  2. Really? What am I missing?
  3. Came into this game with three consecutive league wins and just put PSG out of the CL. They have been in canny form since De Bruyne returned, basically. Capable of getting results without playing well as a team because of the amount of money they've spent. They never looked that bothered tonight either imo.
  4. Predicted a score draw tonight, City have been disinterested for months and we were clearly getting better. This one, though, not expecting anything. Have to hope that European fixtures and the Rafa effect distract them. Think we'll get beat, fwiw.
  5. It's just more people underestimating the difference the manager makes, tbh. For some reason it's still quite common.
  6. Give it a rest man. It's only a few weeks since your were unequivocally proclaiming he wouldn't join us in the first place.
  7. I reckon we'll beat Spurs on the last day if we have to. Especially if the title's gone, which is very likely.
  8. Leicester will have won it by then, I'm convinced.
  9. Like that counts for anything
  10. I like him but in a functioning team his best position is probably on the bench.

  12. There's all sorts of reasons it's possible but ultimately we've got to win quite a few more games, and the odds are against that.
  13. Just a small point about Townsend's goal. If that's a game against the mackems, home or away, Mitrovic gets called for a foul on their defender, every single time. It absolutely wasn't a foul, but that's the sort of shit we get pulled up for in every derby, basically just trying and using your body.
  14. I honestly think a lot of people think they're watching a lazy player in Sissoko when they're actually just watching a rubbish one.
  15. They've proved time and time again that they'll be more than willing to watch any old s**** in absolute silence whilst paying through the nose for the privilege. I'd also think the Wongaloids would gulp down the preferred media partner propaganda about how Rafa's inexperience in relegation battles is what took us down and his inexperience in the championship would stop us coming back up. Or, Ashley wouldn't give a s*** about the fans, as per. Why do people say stuff like this? Yet to come across a single person who isn't fully supportive of Benitez or unaware that he's been brought in far too late. Because they'll change their minds if he leaves. For a lot of our fans, whatever the club does is absolutely the right decision, no matter what. Why do I have to explain this? Because you're talking s***? Non of the fans i know that go to games believes this, quite the opposite in fact. What's your point? The bit in bold is crap and you know it. No idea why people on here pretend to believe this stuff. I obviously don't agree Mick, or I wouldn't have said it. You're a long way from convincing me otherwise. All you've said is that you haven't spoken to any of them, it proves nothing. Again, I didn't mention match going fans.

Non of the fans i know that go to games believes this, quite the opposite in fact. 'Why do I have to explain my baseless claims?' Not even sure who 'they' are. This place has fabricated the 'wongaloids' and now this group is somehow representative of anyone who attends a match. Very weird. I was asking why I had to explain the concept that plenty of fans will back the club whatever they do. I've spoken to plenty and read their views, that's no more baseless than you or Mick saying otherwise. I have mentioned match goers, like. You do realise that fans saying 'I don't back the club whatever they do' and actually doing it in hindsight aren't mutually exclusive, don't you?
  17. True, weve been spending 80M every season since Ashley took over. On English players

  19. I'm surprised that the people dismissing the idea of him staying are the same that denied he would come in the first place, didn't you learn last time? You're too quick to write off anything positive without thinking about it rationally. The reasons Rafa would stay are the same as the reasons he would come in the first place. Yeah, he's going to need more power and concessions will have to be made that go against Ashley's history here, but that's been happening all season. Just a few months ago plenty of people were saying he'd never sack McClaren even though the club's transfer policy has obviously changed. It's a bit more of a stretch this time, granted, but it's certainly realistic.

  21. Fucking hate Pardew. edit - and every single bell end fan that absolved him of blame in this situation
  22. At this point I don't think super fandom even comes close, they're just selfish bastards as far as I'm concerned.
