Absolute dog shit today. Ludicrous that he was left on for the second half over Anita.

Maroon away strip for me. -
He's changed it for sure, he was even talking about controlling the game through possession on Saturday. Even before the Swansea game he fancied our more direct style over their passing game, but I think that was a real wake up call. Before that game the crossover to passing football has been sort of half-hearted. Tbh, even if he's not a natural believer in the passing game like Martinez or Laudrup, just giving the players the go ahead to play more football is half the battle. At least he's not actively making them look shit. I hope so mate, I really do. I'm sick of hating his management, I genuinely want to like it.

I'd absolutely love it if he had changed his outlook, like.
-
how does any of that change what i've said? i agree he's fine when he's got the minimum he feels he needs to work with, when he doesn't have that he'll struggle (last season) - this is all i'm saying really...if we get crippled over xmas with 7 injuries and suspensions he'll not be able to muster up some amazing performances from the meager tools at his disposal, that's just not his thing this season he's had plenty of options and has done well there's no controversy here The main thing he's got right is that he's allowing us to play the sort of football that suits the type of players we are recruiting. It's took a while, but we look a million times better for it. Whether he'll be able to build on it and hold firm when we get a few setbacks is the key. I'm still not convinced he'll be able to adjust to other managers changes during games but at least the players look like they are enjoying the chance to show off their passing skills. Yep. He needs to stick with it though, he abandoned it at home to Southampton which just didn't make sense. So far he's seemed reluctant to let us play our football in the games he's really scared to lose, it's just counter productive and the sign of a scared manager (which is ludicrous considering he wasn't sacked last season, his job is one of the safest around). He's been mentioning the style of play in interviews a lot, so hopefully the penny has dropped for good.

Got a ticket for this for christmas, will be nice to be back. Fancy us to win as well. -
We have to hope that he sees this January as an opportunity in the same way as the Cisse transfer, we've got some great momentum going. If we could add one or two players we could keep threatening the top 4 all season. Whilst I don't necessarily think we can get in there it would serve us very well in trying to keep hold of players at the end of the season.

before that tackle I thought they would struggle with a busy schedule. Not sure many of thier new players will have experienced so many hard cold games together- add losing brown to that and things are looking shitty. They're fucked, mate.
-
Brown's tackle. 93rd minute, player facing the touchline, going nowhere. What the fuck was he doing?
-
Am I still a small minded simpleton with a inaccurate world view if I think he's not up to playing in the premier league?
-
Poyet's MOTD interview was hilarious. He as good as said 'I'm getting paid and so are all the players so we'll keep turning up'.
-
Yep. I've not been happy with some of the performances against the poorer sides but when you look at how we utterly outclassed Palace today I think that view explains itself. We can play excellent, attacking football and Pardew should take credit for that. We're just too negative too often, needlessly. But yeah, you can't argue with our points tally at this point. Good post Dave, I agree with what you are saying here.

Straight red in the 93rd minute!?

How can you not love him? The falling over lay off for Gouffran

Norwich obviously missed a meeting.
