  1. It was fair in the sense that they set out to win the game, we set out to stay in it and take whatever we're given by our attackers working in isolation, the ref, or god. Like we have for the last three years, give or take a few games.
  2. That's what we'll be doing on Saturday!
  3. Embarrassing. I hate, hate watching a Newcastle team that can't play football.
  4. I think a bit of suspicion is completely normal in this day and age, like. Glad to hear it's just a fitness thing, like. this day and age ? it's always happened. Or has it?
  5. Some of his passing was really good though. he's playing the ball much quicker and simpler for the most part, I would think his possession stats yesterday were probably the best out of our 11 out there. Aye, but given his return to form and the fact that those things that ruined his game for over a year have started to show again, small cause for concern imo. He needs to be told (and reminded constantly) what to do by the coaching team and the other players.
  6. He wasn't great against WBA tbh, too much dicking about and attempting to pass it over ten yards.
  7. I love Colo, like. But the captaincy thing is definitely an issue imo. I really, really hope we can keep hold of him for at least a season after this though because it's Saylor we need to replace asap.

He looked like he was wearing make up.

I thought we looked less negative than usual in the second half? Or am I just so happy we've won 4 in a row that I'm imagining it? Fair play like, brilliant month.

You'll change your mind about him again in a month or so. is he too negative when we take a lead -yes. Is he a bottling cunt against the Mackems - yes. Would I have him sacked after the derbies-yes. Is he doing well with results, right now-yes Will you change tack again when the results do, yes. Will you aknowledge he has done well getting three wins? I already have, mate.

Bobby turned Shearer back into an in for striker, I don't know why you've brought those two into this. without bobby shearer was finished? give over. my point stands, you cant diminish the results of a manager just because hes lucky to have an inform striker. No-one 's attempting to 'diminish results'. The discussion is almost always about coaching strategy, effectiveness of the team over a long period and sustainability. Every manager in the world would have been considerably worse off without Shearer than with him. Your point is rubbish.

Up until last season I wanted them around so we could take 6 easy points a season. If we're stuck with Pardew I never want to play them again.

All stems from their "Black Cats, Top Dogs" season review title, no? Didn't one of them photoshop NETD onto a banner that someone held up at SJP? Or am I thinking of something else?

Laughable, once in a while would be good. Who is demanding that we do it week in and week out? My guess is that nobody is. Interpolic isn't happy with doing it 3 times in 3 seasons. I'd love loads of trouncings, but Everton. who we want to compete with. have only done it 3 times in that period as well. Spurs are more of a champions league contender and only managed it 6 times in 87 games too. Holding onto that Everton stat for dear life It's such a zinger.

The only reason I can see for it being red is that two feet were off the floor, but it's borderline at best. Harsh.

Pissing their pants. Demanding we spank teams week in, week out with 90 minutes of dominance. Crying cyber tears after another three points. All in the last few pages, just because we've picked up a few results. It's the same stuff of the season before last, except now the expectations are even lower so all we need is a short run of good results to provoke it. They've seen as well as us how unsustainable this approach is.

There's a few posters on here who seem to think that being a contrarian is the height of debate. It's the only reason I can think of for continually ignoring what's in front of them. Everyone is aware of our limitations. It's not contrary to accept that despite those limitations we're much better off than ANYONE had any hope we would be at this point and look forward to the next few games with more optimism than we've had in a year now. I prefer that than a pissy disregard for 9 points from 9 because we conceded 1 in 270 minutes. What are you on about? The discussion was over people finding excuses for us waving the white flag once we're ahead.
