Seriously? if the players are unfit then there is clearly a problem with how train and that is down to the manager. It's not a coincidence we have so many hamstring injuries and other pulls, you don't get those through being unlucky you get that by poor preparation. There is nothing magic about it, why do you think the big clubs get few injuries that are related to hamstrings and the like? Because they prepare properly, if these consistent hamstring injuries are anything to go by we obviously don't. We hardly had a player out all last season. Do you think Pardew has made a change to the fitness regime that has led to a worsening of the situation? I tend to think it's more to do with the fact we played our 50th game of the season over the weekend but we only played 43 in the whole of last season. Put it this way, since the transfer window closed, which losses are we stringing together to say it's sack worthy? The Mackems - definitely. Wigan and Swansea otherwise? Both lost in the dying minutes? I'm stringing together 34 performances and saying they're sack worthy. Then you aren't being fair. The real disgruntlement started before the transfer window opened. We lost 10 league games out of 13. If he was going to be sacked, the end of that run would have been a worthy time. But he hadn't been backed in the market then. Since he has been we have only lost 5 games from 11. We've won just as many. Real disgruntlement started when? I agree, which is why I've accused him of bottling it a few times this season, Liverpool was the worst. Like I said elsewhere it's only gonna take one or two upgrades to the first team for Pardew to look like the weak link every single week unless he changes his mindset. I'm being fair, his tactics have been suspect for his entire time here. I just keep seeing you post a bunch of numbers, watch the football man, it's rank and it has been for ages, albeit with different amounts of luck/fantastic finishing.

  3. Do you feel as if your approach to football suits the players we have? We play a percentage game based on keeping our shape above all else, and we have technical, attack minded players who could really punish teams if they were allowed.
  4. "Tiote wasn't quite up to speed after his injury and we could have done with his tackling in there"

He has quite a bit to do with it but from the opposite end of the spectrum. Pardew should have told him he'd play where he was told before the season even started, he bottled it and the team suffered for it.

And the first two to the board?

All of them or just one or two?
  8. I think they'll feel they owe us one after the fixture last season, got a bad feeling about this game. "We were missing our captain in Colo today as well as Cheik and and it showed, they had more drive and a bit more experience and we just couldn't match them" We was missing, was. It's Pards after all. I try and stay away from the cheap shots as it lessens the impact of the absolute truths. For example, he's a shit cunt that needs to fuck off.

Load of nonsense. There's a fair few of us not defending Pardew in any way who also think the players are heavily to blame. Heavily, really?

It's a pretty good indication of how long they reckon it'll be until they beat us convincingly at our place again

  12. Same reason some people go to church, I guess. Same reason anyone at all is still backing Pardew: belief in the absence of evidence.

Yes it can. Pardew's not interested in passing football, that accounts for it. This has been said a million times but bears repeating, when a few players are out of form that's not necessarily the managers fault, when most of them are, that's definitely the managers fault.
  14. Because he put us out of the cup a couple of times? I would think it's his friendship with Dennis Wise. And his general cuntness for me. (Also don't think I've got over the FA Cup Semi Final as well). Is he a general cunt? Always seemed quite easy going to me in interviews. He's competitive, not sure about how much of a cunt he is, I think that's just down to some history which wasn't really his fault from what I can see. In any case, I'd far rather have an intelligent, ambitious young manager who knows how to set up a team than someone who's everyone's pal but who's ideas about football are prehistoric. Me too. Fwiw I've got a bit of a disliking for him but it's based on nothing else but him scoring against us As I say he's always seemed a canny bloke when I've seen him interviewed. He'd certainly get a chance from me.

  17. So you think he'd be better than the current manager but you don't want him? If you were given a choice of: a) Roberto Martinez b) Ashley's pick Which one do you go with?

    Pardew - 75% Everything else - 25%
  19. I wouldn't want either tbh. Not sure why it's ludicrous to think Pulis is better though. Up until this season they've alway been comfortable mid-table. The bulk of that message backs up my point though. More attractive football doesn't neccesarily mean better. Depends what you go to the match for. With the players we've got and will continue to get under Carr's guidance, more attractive does mean better. Attractive football obviously, but I remember Wigan up here this season and the first half was ridiculous. They must have played about 5-6 suicide balls from the keeper and defence because they're told to do that. Even when they went down to ten, they didn't really change and a better team than us in better form than us could have scored 10 that night. Fair enough. I think it's all pretty meaningless though. Only one thing matters, do you think he'd be better than Pardew?

I think the only way he will get sacked at christmas, or any season is if we have less than 20 points at half a season. edit- i think he will still be here in 4 years time. :'( Im not trolling or pissing about anymore either, fed up- and its the ambition of the whole top end of the club to simply stay in the Division. I'm glad you're not doing that anymore, you're normally a good poster I think you're right re: the ambition btw. Just got to hope that Mike gets a feel for wanting to be a bit more successful.
