Newcastle United 3 - 0 Wigan - 03/12/12 - post-match reaction from page 41

That's not a tactic then? You might have something to say if we'd stayed 4-4-2 in the last two games and seen an improvement. As it is we've gone 4-3-3 and seen an emphasis on passing and moving because its more achievable in that formation with these players. -
Indeed. Especially when you consider the type of 'football' we've been playing up until the last two games........in which he's been very good.
-
If you're reading this Alan, 4-2-3-1 and passing football with this set of players was completely your call. You pioneered it when all of us were doubting you, and you can proudly continue to play that way for the rest of the season, safe in that knowledge.

Love him, even when he's out of form he's in the thick of it.
-
No surprise at all, has looked an accomplished player in his entire time here.

It'll be to do with the style of play, completely ignoring that when we play 4-3-3 we generally have a much more fluid passing style than in 4-4-2. -
I felt the first creeping feelings of resentment towards him today. 1 challenge away from a yellow within 3 minutes and all those ridiculous long range shots. Irritating.

After a home victory over ten man Wigan? Give over.

Better formation, better attitude, fortunate. I'll take that. -

We played a bit of football there, minimal long balls, and with a 4-2-3-1. It's almost as if it encourages passing and moving forward together as a team, that formation. -
It'll be fairly ironic given the performances of the team this season, where he's been playing and why.
-
When it comes to attracting managers they're probably in a better position than us to be honest.
-
Look at that fucking car man
-
Now they've got 2-1 to hold onto, that'll help Artie's team talk.
-
Yes but we have 9 players missing and europa league, and i don't believe in the statistics that says we play the long ball game... No matter what we should give him the rest of the season... Do you believe your eyes?

First 20 mins against WBA was exactly like this, they hardly touched the ball.

You reckon there's something up with his pubes? -
It's probably about 100 minutes in total when you add it up, I can offer 20 in the derby.

Rooney's an excellent footballer who wants to win above all else. Ba wants individual glory so he gets the big move. I agree.
-
Why? will it make him ball greedy? attempt to shoot in all areas and situations to try and earn more cash? He already does that to be fair, it'll get worse, amongst other things.
-
HBA is great captain material. He's always questioning decisions, albeit in a relatively restrained manner compared to likes of Man U and Chelsea. He'll always stick up for another player thats in a bit of a scuffle, and most importantly of all he's got the balls to try and make something happen when no-one else has.
