  1. really dislike the way you've got to spell everything out on here sometimes I don't think he's done anything off the field that means he's more bother than he's worth, having scored 8 goals in 11 league appearances.
  2. small time wankers, to a man
  3. He's brilliant but off the field we really don't need him, a lot better watching from the outside. yeah, 8 goals in 11 appearances in the league, we dont need him Completely missing the point. I'm not, i'm just disagreeing with you.
  4. Aye, I think the same. Sometimes a club and a player just don't click and this seems to have been the case. Not sure it's a simple as that in this case, he was turgid for Liverpool before he left.

  6. thanks for the info, he sounds like just what we need. Interesting to hear he's a target man type, could be lethal with Ba.
  7. I don't think i've seen him have a 'terrific' game never mind the whole season.
  8. Too good to turn down and all of that s****. If Ba keeps on banging them in the way he has, how long before the Tiote rumours change to him btw? It's f***ing horrible that we're even talking about this, but with those in charge, it's something that will always be at the back of our minds. If we want to get anywhere, we need to entertain any ideas that these offers are too good to turn down. Spurs have proven that with Modric - who I think is a class little player, but he's not worth £40 million pound, yet they knew he was more valuable to them than that. That's what we need to start doing. Absolutely. Easier said than done though, surely? Not many teams would have hung on to Modric like Spurs did, and even they might still lose him next summer. i'd argue it's actually almost as easy to do it as say it, considering doing it just involves saying 'no' to the clubs who want to buy him and to the player who's still under contract it involves valuing the football team over the balance sheet for a little bit though, in the hope that the former will naturally improve the latter. we have trouble with this bit. Even Spurs have only just got to the stage of saying no though. Until very recently they were a selling club and they've only really felt confident enough to turn down big money bods once they were on a footing to compete for Champions League football. granted, you have to take that step at some point though. are we waiting until we qualify for the champions league before we stop selling our best players? if that's the case i can see a flaw in the logic.
  9. Bye Danny, have fun at QPR or Villa or whatever also ran you end up at, hope the extra 2 grand a week's worth it.

Obertan on the right doesn't work.

  12. If ben arfa not play vs swansea he should put in transfert request I wish you'd put in a transfer request
  13. Perhaps? Take your blinkers off man. He's contributed certainly, not to the level of the others mentioned. He wouldn't have been the difference in results against Man City, Man United or Norwich.
  14. I'm well aware there's been some good right footed left backs. I just happen to think Santons best position is RB :-)
  15. our ftm season starts here
  16. Just use one and use the technology exactly how Rugby League use it, they have it to near perfection imo. Technology's completely fucked Rugby League, as it would football. It's a pantomime now just like American sports, with every try going to the video ref and celebration replaced with everyone looking at a screen. And that's a stop-start game anyway, nothing like football. Your missing my point, possibly me not making clear though, i'm not talking about the stop start part of it, i'm talking about the penalty, overline type, which usually especially in the case of penalties, has the game stopped anyway with players surrounding the ref, all he has to do is ask the 4th official to look at it, you dont need to have big screen, no need for razzmatazz at all, just the 4th official and a screen to look back at it. Exactly the same with bad/looking bad tackles, goal scoring opportunities (like Luiz, Cahill ones), etc the games stops anyway, the 4th official can look and say, yes its a red or a yellow, thats what i mean, the game has stopped anyway, like booking Luiz or sending off Cahill, time to look at an instant replay. agree, not sure what exactly is 'pantomime' about judging decisions correctly
  17. That's down to playing weaker squads in general in those (first team) matches. Perch at centre back is a main stay. And Dr. Venkman -"Santon is never a left back". Personally wouldn't put it like that, but in any case, he's a hell of a lot better than Raylor. I agree, I think he'll be effective at left back but better suited to right back.

You could definitely see that he wanted to come on against Everton when Marveaux had to go off. yep

Nah. dicks, i just wanted a bit of background
  20. Being backed up well by others? If Ba gets a serious injury our season is basically over. We are in the same boat as Arsenal. bit over the top i think, Best and Shola will get a few throughout the season. I'M NOT CRITICISING THE MAIGA SIGNING
  21. it's a forced act, just like his stupid voice is a forced act as i posted in the pet hates thread. he's wildy over-compensating
  22. why? his main role in the team is carrying the ball up the pitch to relieve pressure and protecting a shit full back. a better full back solves one of those problems
