For the love of god,why are people STILL posting in here with regards to 'extra money coming in' ? There's one ENORMOUS flaw in your argument. Idiotic doesn't begin to cover it.
-
The most important part of his job is getting the fans onside while Ashley does whatever he wants, whenever he wants. That's why he's our manager.
-
Absolutely not. That's one of my biggest problems with this; it'll never go back now, same with the signs up everywhere. And the only thing that pisses me off too However Bottom line is we have a very good system now in place at the club, particularly in player recruitment. If this money is channelled in the right way added to the extra revenue success brings we really could see ourselves as major players in the league again and not just half a season wonders I understand the history, I really do, but at the end of the day it's about how competitive we are on the pitch! What would you take SJP name and finish 8-14 every year Different name top 6 most years I'm not saying it will be the defining feature, but it will definately help! anyone else posting guff like this take note of where this post falls on it's arse
-
The claim that it's in order to attract interest in someone else buying the naming rights is shite of the highest order, naming rights aren't a difficult concept to grasp and don't have to be demonstrated. He bought the club for advertising purposes and is merely following through with the original plan. Awful, just bloody awful.

what a bizarre post -
you're ignoring the fact that the FA are almost certain to go english when cappello fucks off, once you factor that in there aren't many better candidates assuming pardew manages to maintain upward progress as regards the why would he take it? it is one of the most poisoned jobs in football but it's all about the rewards for the person that succeeds, financial but mainly otherwise he's worked for ages to get a good job, he's come back from nowhere and he's got one, he's doing really well and his boss trusts him. he could be back on the managerial scrap heap within a year if he took the england job, i'm starting to get the feeling he's got more about him than just going for the money.
-
not a chance, why on earth would he leave here after years in the wilderness when it's been going so well? the england job's an absolute poisoned chalice. those worrying about pardew going to spurs when harry gets the job needn't worry either, he's done great for us so far but they'll be looking for someone better to maintain a champions league push imo.
-
The difference between a hammering and a decent result in all 3 of these games will be injuries (or lack of them) to key players, which further highlights the need for squad depth. Can we get a point at old Trafford and beat Chelsea with our first team out? Of course we can.
-
particularly when you're manager's just told you to keep the ball above all else
-
He was average against Spurs and gave the ball away a ridiculous amount of times. The reason we picked up against Spurs is because they had just scored so we opened up more and went for it, you could easily say it was AMeobi's introduction that changed the game since he performed better and got the winning goal but lets defend Ben Arfa. it's worth defending him against the shite that you and the man child have been spouting recently. well, it used to be worth it until it became obvious you're both horrendous wums.

'wor kev' our kev- unbelievably partridge
-
Wouldn't wish a nasty injury on him like, they're so far behind us it doesn't make any difference if he's fit or not.
-
no need to be that harsh imo
-
absolutely right ian, just like your last post
-
I also agree with Alpal, twilight zone.

i think we'll beat at least one of them Good man. I've got a hankering for 4 pts from the free (courtesy of The Prophet) fixtures. massivley dependent on the fitness of certain people but yeah, we're capable of 4 points certainly

Rodwell was Simpson's man on that corner. Yeah, not talking about the corner, that would be appalling marking, not tracking back. -
In the same way that we've been a touch fortunate to go 11 games unbeaten, yeah. You'll need to explain that to me as I'm struggling to compare the two unless you don't think he was fortunate and that you don't think we've had a touch of good fortune to remain unbeaten. If that is the case then you're a nailed on half full glass type of person. You make your own luck

hope it was the injury that made him just watch rodwell waltz into the box and get a free header, bloody appalling tracking back that was. -

I thought they won their fair share in the air yesterday, certainly not dominated anyway. they might have won a couple, but everton won the majority. that's not necessarily a massive problem, the problem is when something's not working and you keep doing it. did we create any chances yesterday? they created loads in the first half. -
he actually said we'll just keep plodding on? christ, inspiring stuff from a clever manager there.
