    Graham Carr

i searched for n online on tapatalk and it didnt bloody work!
  2. it's probably because everyone in the country thinks we're shit since nolan, barton, enrique and carroll left, without having actually watched us much since. we've looked clueless going forward for much of the season but we're solid at the back and the attacking play is getting better with cabaye further forwards and hba, marv coming in we have enough to beat blackburn if the players perform more like they did vs villa and less like they did at qpr. and of course if shola doesnt start
  3. i can understand Ben Arfa being eased in (oo er) at this point but Marveaux's played 120 minutes twice and come through it fine, he should be fit to start
  4. i'm gonna be a sad panda if we go 4-4-2 involving shola, just dont do it alan, please.
  5. Krul Simpson Taylor Colo Taylor Cabaye Tiote Marveuax Ben Arfa Jonas Best go for the throat and be 2 up by half time, cabaye slightly ahead of tiote. that's pretty potent attacking and defending, should be too good for blackburn
  6. i'll take anyone at home tbh, you have to beat a good team at some point and they're more likely to field their second teams earlier on in the competition, i think we should be fielding a stronger team in the cup from now on btw.
  7. Thats fucking bullshit for a start like. Not sure why you would say that? He usually loses possession when he's done his run up the field. because he doesnt usually lose possession?
  8. you're right, and he looked great that day. seemed to walk past 3 or 4 players a couple of times but ultimately wasnt on the pitch long enough to make anything significant happen
  9. considering Pardew's pretty much picked the team on merit (with the exception of shola) since he's been here, do we think abeid's display last night will finally remove smith from the bench? i fucking hope so
  10. Thats fucking bullshit for a start like. it's just in the wrong thread i think, he means shola, surely?
  11. it all comes down to players giving you different things for different games, Jonas shouldnt be dropped by default because obertan can put a better ball in the box, that's all i'm saying. being hard to score against has been our key attribute as a team this season, Jonas contributes a lot to that side of our game.
  12. in all the excitement about Marveuax and to a lesser extent Obertan, I think a lot of people are forgetting how vital Jonas is to us at times in terms of keeping possession when under pressure. he consistently picks the ball up deep and carries it 60 yards forwards before winning a free kick/corner/throw in and that's really important sometimes. yes his end product is usually poor in terms of balls into the box, but with cabaye further forward and ben arfa playing there should be more options on the ground to slide in short passes, which Jonas does well
  13. in all seriousness we should be looking to win this. we're in good form results wise and i can only think of QPR where we've performed badly. we've been tight at the back in the league and we have attacking players like HBA and Marveaux coming in, plus Best is scoring and Ba's edging closer to looking useful.
  14. just seen the highlights, loven was lucky with that penalty. perfect height for the goal keeper and no pace on it
  15. i creased at that also 'you can't play tiote, cabaye and ben arfa in the middle'
  16. would playing lovenkrands be excusable in any way at all? wherever you play him there's someone else who should be given game time before him
  17. i remember when the only way you could follow some games was waiting for teletext to get around to your teams page again ....and i didnt read the last few posts constant coverage is ample imo, whether it's tv or radio. i am a little but more nervous with a radio game though, there's always that second delay between something happening and hearing about it plat ferguson, give saylor a rest. play ba, sameobi and marveuax imo
  18. So wrong about the possession retention do you exist in some sort of parallell universe where he doesn't constantly fall over his own feet and run the ball out of play? i've seen him keep possession before, i've seen him turn a man before, but it's the exception to the rule. i didnt even see this game btw so i'm not basing it on one performance, it'd be pretty short sighted to judge a player on one game. how much do you know about that?
  19. did someone say a few pages back that the shola slagging has to stop? just popped in to say no, shola has to stop. he's fucking rubbish and has been his entire career, with the odd opportunist goal thrown in. he's so utterly detrimental to playing football that he's a wasted shirt, 70% of the time we may as well just loft it straight to their keeper rather than waste time or energy giving it to shola and expecting to keep possession
  20. We played well. Neat, short, little long ball stuff (until Shola came on at least). Cabaye was immense. 4-4-2, Ba looked good. all positive it seems, i'm happy with the point like, especially since we went one down. let's hope he keeps shola on the bench and goes on to work out he shouldnt even be there
  21. been working all day and didnt even get to listen to the match. can someone fill me in on the key points? performances? formation?
  22. Hope you´re not serious We are down to 2 fit CB and 0 fit LB. We are playing a RB/RM out of position already, you dont think theres been a massive gamble on our paltry defensive cover? yep. although we're doing well defensively and picking up points i maintain that we're a long term injury to saylor or colo away from a relegation battle. lose either of them and we'll collapse like a pack of cards imo
