  1. I tell you what, some of you geordies are mental - fans like you (and I'm not tarring all newcastle fans with the same brush btw) know virtually f*** all about football and quite frankly don't deserve world class players in your team. this We don't have any any more anyway on a serious note mate this lad's got a point, i feel its a hopeless effort though as the common man is thick, nevermind the common football fan, i turned to the bloke who sits next to me at the match 5 minutes before half time and said, 'there'll be booing at half time, and most of it will come from above us (galowgate), i hate to say it but most of our fans are wankers' booing gets you nowhere, people need to give support to a manager with a good track record who said himself that it would take time to get right, if you turn up every week expecting us to win 5-0 and you throw your toys out of the pram when the team has a stinker then you're not entitled to call yourself a supporter

  3. What? To say he doesn't have an accent is f****** absurd. he tries to hide his accent and it is cringeworthy its just so everyone can understand him, every single person on tv does it, apart from fictional actors, i.e. eastenders
  4. Shearer only has good things to say about Bobby in his book, a book which is crap by the way. I don't think I've read a book so quick in my life. For those who can't read, the Shearer book will be perfect as it's mainly pictures. would that be, Alan Shearer: My ILLUSTRATED Career, by any chance?
  5. sam should be given time to do his job, no doubt, but dropping n'zogbia back to left back was a shocking decision, he was the only one looking like doing anything, as with milner, bringing him off just as he started to get at their defense a bit. and smith, sorry like but no thanks, he won ONE header all day, and that wasnt even contested, fair enough it might not be his strong point, but if so then stop lumping it forward every time we get the ball, i'd love to see us pass it about a bit ffs
  6. I think most people now accept this tbh. He made his debut 7 years ago now... I feel sorry for Shola, we cannot fault his dedication to the club, when we were in stook with injuries he played through the pain for us and risked his own career by doing so, putting off an operation on his hip, could you see many from the rest of our squad doing that? Oh I wasn't having a go at him - I was just surprised that it was that long ago tbh. He seems like a canny bloke and I think he genuinely loves the club. That said, he can love the club and be as loyal as he wants but it won't make him a better player. He's had 166 chances to impress in the last 7 years. It's time for him to move on and he'll need to be replaced. sorry did'nt mean to make tat sound like I thought you were having a did at him, your dead rigth he has had time and games to prove he can do it and the sad fact is he can't. Best thing for him and the club now is a move for Shola to maybe someone like Wigan.. and for the club to STOP putting huge pictures of him up in club shops, its f****** embarassing
  7. hate to admit it but i cant stand the average nufc fan, utter fucking morons, watching the match in the pub yesterday and in the last ten minutes the camera cut to sam, cue booing from a section of the bar, so i shouted fuck off at them, then hid behind my mate when they looked over
  8. If only shepherd was there, then we'd have won. Good post Ne5, insightful as always Not necessarily, unlike some people, I always said that Shepherd didn't actually play so wasn't responsible for playing s*** in a couple of Cup Finals, for instance. I've been saying for a year what the problem with the team is, and it isn't so simple as buying a few better defenders. If you still can't work it out, have a look. Unless you intend to continue acting like a bit of a dope. mods, is there an ignore function on this forum? if not can you please add one? aye, there is no need for these silly posts, especially the ones who mention Shepherd for no reason ..... actually maybe we could just make shepherd a word thats blocked out, like fuck, i definitely consider him to be offensive
  9. to the tune of 'agadoo'........aaaaaaaaaaaabdoooooooolaye FAYE FAYE, abdoulaye abdoulaye, abdoulaye FAYE FAYE, abdoulaye abdoulaye

  11. It'll have to be. i dont think its panic stations quite yet, i'm disapointed with our away form too but we're still doing well imo, still very early days for sam
  12. hopefully the game at the mackems place will come at a good time for us and be the start of us turning things around away from home
  13. Jesus Christ, he was atrocious at Carlisle. I knew there was a problem with illiteracy in schools but I hadn't realised it was on such a grand scale. Without checking you said he was atrocious in both pre season games IIRC if you're going to question my literacy skills, i suggest you don't address me as Jesus Christ, my post wasn't aimed at you in particular, but bartons pre-season form was being discussed so what's wrong with me saying that? Because it was me who used the word atrocious, which was my correct desciption of his performance at Brunton Park. You referenced this, that's all. I'm sure your literacy skills are second to none by the way. yr dm rite thy r

  15. i was at the hartlepool game and barton played very well, calling him atrocius on tonights display is utterly pathetic, he played ONE bad pass
  16. for gods sake, i know this will already have been answered, but i'll answer it again, Owen's link up play is ALWAYS productive, he gets very involved in attacks and hardly ever wastes a pass, and thats how he played tonight, i honestly dont know where the idea that he's nothing but a finisher comes from
  17. i sit in the gallowgate so i dont have a clue what any of you are talking about
  18. strange quote from jol, he usually seems quite gracious but that does read like a bit of a wind up, i would say the pressure's getting to him and its a half arsed attempt at mind games
  19. ahh well, Except they've only lost one of their last 8.... ahh well, shouldnt believe everything i hear i suppose, point still stands though, teams going through a bad patch get results against us
  20. cant decide who i hate more, mackems or west ham, i hope they both lose
  21. the only thing that worries me about this match is spurs have lost 6 in a row, any time we come up against a team who isnt winning, or a striker who isnt scoring, they kick back into gear against us
  22. great news that we're gonna see owen and oba together up top, been looking forward to it
  23. Tbf most people predicted Lee would fail as they did Souness. Bolton went with the cheap option as we did with Roeder although its no surprise for them as they have always been a cheap club who couldn't attract much better where as we..... no, you are re-writing history. Gartside was said by a few people to be superior to Shepherd, because he ran a good club with a good plan, didn't make panic buys, didn't make badly timed managerial appointments etc etc etc so your point is they've both made mistakes? i'd agree. that one fact doesnt mean the last regime was good for the club though, far from it. seems like you're just clutching at straws now, and the way you jump on every bit of news possible and try to twist it into shepherds favour is becoming quite frankly, obsessive, he's gone man, move on, mrs shepherd. poor response. For simply pointing out a few facts, that don't suit some people. eh? i dont understand mate, are you or aren't you trying to make the point that shepherd cant have been so bad, because gartside made a bad appointment? its a yes or no answer its not any sort of answer, nor is it meant to be. I'm simply pointing out the idiocy of those who thought that anyone but Shepherd would have been better for Newcastle. Are you - and others - trying to make out that Shepherd was so bad, simply because he made a s**** appointment in Souness [while running a club that qualified for europe more than any other club bar 4] ? Surely not. I presume you also thought that anyone but Shepherd would have been better for the club when we qualified for the Champions League, reached 2 FA Cup Finals, and achieved the highest 3 consecutive league finishes for 50 years ? Unless of course you disagree with this and can prove it to be incorrect. for the sake of evereyone elses sanity i'm just gonna give up and leave you to your opinion
