Spell my name with a grammatical error of some kind and then we can talk.

Forum bets can f*** off. There needs to be horse racing somewhere other than America on a Sunday evening. It's my most boring period that I want to bet during with nothing on. Man up! you've changed during the close season ! Damn right. I've wasted too fucking much.

You ungrateful fucking scumbag.

Ugh, this sounds very reminiscent to last season. Theyre going to get 5th, aren't they?
-
Tempted to stake a bit on that myself.

Gold looked stupid last season. Gold looks stupid this season.

Ashley has instilled the mentality into us that resale value is the only thing that matters. Now you're actually spending money on players you too shall soon have to factor this in, Neil.

You know what? I don't know how but he ended up on my buddy list. Did anyone notice he kept putting different references to me in his sig for days? I was fucking screwing. I'm assuming, and hoping it was just a joke based around that. Otherwise, I'm still shitting bricks about his obsession with me. He had a (totally unfounded) reference to me in his sig the other week, that's why I gave him a load of abuse in the random thoughts thread. This went on for weeks though, man. He had like 4 different sigs with my name in, referenced me in every few posts of his. Was genuinely a little scared. -
What are the odds on that? Is it a 1/4 return if he does place?
-
Not going to claim I know much about him, just excited at another signing. Hope we get to see him in action soon.

Yeah, but £24m for a 29 year old?! s*** deal tbf Not if he gets 25-30 for the next 3 or 4 seasons it isnt. Maybe, but where's the resale value? Forget resale value. I'll be fucking astounded if he manages that level for 4 straight years.

That picture genuinely makes my stomach churn a bit with the memories. Made all the more worse considering how stupidly optimistic I was that pre-season.

When you think about how big a gesture doing small things like that must be for the players as individuals. God I fucking love this club right now. -
But who's going to instill this confidence and belief? Do you think it was just bad luck that they got a batch of players through with hearts the size of peas? (that sentence seems a bit condescending as I read it but it's a genuine question, not taking the piss!) 'Cause I can't help but think this is Wenger's mindset beginning to cause issues for the rest of the players. I just don't think the belief is there from the top, and that will cause problems for any young team.

To be fair the little knob head makes some fair points. Can't agree with the role model thing though. I know the players and other sportsmen are normal people with extraordinary jobs, but they are at the pinnacle of the game, looked up to by a lot of people, their standing in their game/sport makes them role models in my opinion. I don't need to be a role model really only to my son, if I call a supplier of mine a t*** over the phone, I'm not letting down a legion of fans. Where as if MO calls an opposing player a t*** thousands/millions? of people many of them fans of his sees him do that in the public domain. Nobody should look up to footballers. Admire their skills as footballers but thats it. Easy to say but kids are naturally going to be drawn to them if they admire their skills. Obviously adults can get a grip but it's just the kid's mindset to find a hero of some kind to follow/emulate. I'm the first to say that footballers get given a tough ride by the public. But a line does have to be drawn, because the 'they just want to play football, they didn't ask for the role model image' doesn't wash. Whether they want it or not, they know that's what they'll get. That should get posted to his Twitter as a response.

Meh. The RVP sticks out to me, purely because of how many years Arsenal stuck by him. While you understand he wants trophies etc, it was cuntish to jump after finally having a good season without injuries. But the rest? It'll be the case of any other club now, they'll move to win trophies. Arsenal are still higher than where a lot of clubs want to be, but not where they themselves want to be. The players that they lured there with the expectations of trophies are going to want to jump now.

A few pages behind here, but fucking hell I'm glad I didn't spoil it for myself and waited out the intro.

Does he really expect anything but people replying with the likes of 'do it' ffs? Dumb cunt lives in his own world.

France have been alright until they get in the box, at which point they decide the aim of the game is to send the ball either side of the goal.
