I'm just finding this fantastic that even putting all their effort into this, they're still shocking. The commentator said Everton have defended 'manfully'. Fuck off, Liverpool just havn't had that final touch and Everton have pretty much just mopped up everything in defence with ease.

Krul Simpson Willy Colo Enrique Jonas Tiote Barton Routledge Shola Caroll I'm not a believer in this Routledge needs to be dropped idea. He's obviously a confidence player, and if we're going to get anything out of him this season we need to persevere. So swap him and Jonas around, get Jonas on his stronger foot, protect Simpson who, despite being miles better than Perch, is still our weak defensive link, and let Routledge cut in. Shola and Carroll might as well be given a shot, nothing else seems to be working. Barton may have had a bad game yesterday, but I think he's done enough this season so far to give him more of a chance than dropping him after one bad showing when he wasn't the only one not firing.

Mixed emotions here.. This is my bet up the shitter.. But at the same time I love watching these cunts go into meltdown

I think the swap would be worth a try. Breaking up the Jose/Jonas partnership is a small price to pay for (hopefully) an overall more balanced midfield. One step back to take two steps forward and all that jazz.
-
Is that Merieles really that weak? Everytime I see him he's being shoved to the floor.
-
Liverpool keep sending pathetic crosses in, but they've got no one in the box...
-
worth a try, but rather than play routledge out of position i'd hoy Ranger out on the left and tell him to graft like fuck. You'd rather play an inexperienced striker on the left wing than an experienced right winger? Yes. But then thats why I'm not a football manager. And stop doing gay smiley faces when you're talking to me.

It's possible, but I don't believe they compliment each other. Also I'd expect us to revert to humping it forward if we had them 2 upfront. Carroll isn't too bad at holding the ball up, Shola is, unfortunately, probably our best finisher, I know I'm thinking in very simple terms here, but maybe not too farfetched? As long as, as you say, they don't revert to the long ball game.
-
Would it be too much to have the both of them playing? I don't believe in the 2 big men won't work idea, it's down to each player to adapt and work together. Is it possible?

Can't blame people for thinking that, he's got what will effectively be the top 4 this season in Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and Man City in his next 4 games, and they're already in the bottom 3 with 6 points.. At least we know we won't be bottom come a month's time!
-
Great goal too, he's got a fantastic shot on him, would be amazingly useful to us if he could make the step up with us.
-
Anyone else really pleased by his celebration? Really looked like he cared, love it
-
I need the mackems (Don't ask me why) and the bindippers to beat Everton to win my accumulator, I really don't think it's gonna work out.
-
Man U - West Brom's sounding a bit crazy.
-
Has Ameobi actually done enough to stake a claim for some first team chances again? I can't believe I'm saying that again, it's all we've been saying for 10 years now!
-
How great it is that the team have proved they're better without him today... Hughton will just use this game as an excuse that Nolan's an integral part.
-
Right... I've been out. What the fuck?? I was checking on my phone and genuinely thought it was a cruel joke by BBC Sport staff when I saw N'Zogbia 22 N'Zogbia 23. Unreal. If they were to do this, you knew who would be scoring.

If someone paid you a million quid a year to have a cock tattooed on your forehead you'd probably take it. People would laugh at you and take the piss, but they'd soon shut up when you told them how much you were getting for it. If someone asked you to have a cock tattooed on your forehead for nowt, they just told you you were advertising the fact you were willing to have something like a cock tattooed on your forehead, and trust them they'd be working hard to get someone to pay you to change it to a pair of tits, what would you do? People would laugh at you and take the piss, you might even lose your job and be worse off financially for it, and when you told people you were doing it for nothing they'd laugh even harder and tell you how apt it was. The advertising round the pitch is option 1, all this Sports Direct advertising is option 2. It is in no way beneficial to the club, and if anything it will drive away other potential sponsors who wouldn't want to be associated with it. Like I've already said, I'm in your camp, I agree it's pointless, detrimental, tacky, all that. But the way people are going on like our last shreds of dignity have been ripped out of us is just ridiculous.

Newcastle United v Wigan Pre-Match Thread - 16/10/10, 3.00 PM
wormy replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Why, what are you doing then? After reading multiple times, I think I've finally worked out what the hell that meant. I'm guessing he means 5pm tomorrow.. So of course he'll feel different, he won't be waiting anymore... -
Okay don't get me wrong, I'm not impressed by this, but this thread has reached suicidal proportions the last 2 pages! It looks cheap and tacky, but ripping the soul of the stadium and club? Someone on the previous page states that advertising round the pitch and stadium is okay, that's only because you're used to it! I'm sure people were also wondering what the fuck when they originally went up. But look at the club, it's still here, and amazingly, it's still got it's history. Jesus christ
-
Really? You really think Ashley's paying to stick that up there? I'm with the others now, that's not changing to a paying sponsor anytime soon.
-
So... You're on the fence about this?
-
There are slightly cheaper ways of doing that. What an amazing business plan if true though.
