  1. Jennings is supposed to have spent time at Finch Farm last week. Been a fair bit of talk about us signing him. Looks a good prospect... allegedly a bit of a jack the lad, mind you.

    Football pet hates

People saying Charlie Adams instead of Adam.
  3. Yeah I thought that... he was on a contract that still had a fair length to run. The issue was that the wages were very low because he was just a £65k prospect when it was drawn up and he's now a first teamer.
  4. Citeh already got a new stadium for buttons in the same scenario.
  5. Kelly is arguably the best of the lot. Benitez the managerial genius decided that spending £16m on a right back, no better than a kid he had sitting in the reserves, was the key to the title though. Not that he wasted any money or anything.
  6. City fans have always been a bad gang of dickheads.
  7. I'd agree. But then I usually rate technique/talent over pace/hard work. You say that as if Pienaar doesn't have great technique. There's a reason Spurs are giving one player 70k a week (and paying millions even though he's a free agent in 6months) and the other is getting pushed out of the door. It's not purely down to workrate. Arry might be a total wanker but he knows what he's doing.
  8. Used to be the LFC correspondent at the Echo then got a job at the NotW. He's shocking. Some of his LFC match reports used to be unintentionally hilarious though.
  9. Have you got the squad depth to let Routledge go? Worth keeping as an impact sub with his pace and directness I would have thought.
  10. Pienaar is probably the hardest working flair player I've ever seen. Not just at Everton but in general. Kranjcar has more than his fair share of days when he looks off the pace and disinterested. The only thing Pienaar's game lacks is goalscoring. Doesn't chip in with enough for a player of his ability.
  11. Pienaar is far more consistent, pacier and harder working.
  12. Eric Dier (that English kid at Sporting Lisbon who the media made a fuss of recently) was at Finch Farm today and is supposed to be joining us in the summer. Just what we need like, a 16yr old centre half.
  13. I'm praying the rumours aren't true. I think he's bloody rubbish. Doesn't even start every game for Burnley ffs.
  14. He's lucky to be in the Everton job ffs. We're underperforming massively.
  15. bluekipper.net is the most popular but also one of the worst Loads on twitter now about it being Spurs that Pienaar has permission to talk to. Kammy must have had the scoop
  16. @chris_kammy Chris Kamara Not a good day in the Kammy household today won't be working tomorrow on the Wigan game, thanks 4 all ffs - Pienaar is off to Spurs All the other rumours today have been that it's not Spurs so I wouldn't take what Kamara says as gospel.
  17. Dogleash looked totally lost to me standing on the touchline tonight.
  18. We better fucking beat that rabble on Sunday. They're utter shit. If we keep with 2 up front then we should win comfortably imo.

    Sebastian Larsson

fwiw there's a supposed ITK on bluekipper who is mates with an agent. Said agent looks after Larsson and this lad has posted a few times in the last week that the player didn't want to sign for you. We are interested in taking him on a free in the summer but dithering over a firm offer apparently. Said there's other clubs in for him too iirc.
  20. If he can be arsed, that could be a brilliant move from Sven. Yakubu might be the laziest human being ever created, but he is still a goal scorer. Everton haven't helped themselves by playing him alone upfront as it just makes his lack of effort all the more glaring. Needs a very hard working partner to maximise his talents, certainly at the prem level anyway. I could see him doing well for Sven in the championship though, for sure. Not really. A few years ago he scored 20 goals for us playing in a 4-5-1. It was his injury that fucked him, not tactics. Then just as he finally seemed to be getting his form back (in a 4-5-1 again) Moyes inexplicably dropped him and he's hardly been seen since. Something must have gone on behind the scenes.

  22. The derby is a week later though. What if the new manager loses LFC's first derby at Anfield for over a decade? We destroyed them at Goodison and have played well in every 'big' game this season. Last night for example. I think the owners will be hoping Roy can cling on until the derby, take out the potential banana skin for the new man and then sack him.
