yak seems set to be moved on Moyes has done wonders getting Saha on the pitch a lot more than Fergie & ManUre could ever do. Saha was great in the first half of the season, peaking with him ripping apart Chelsea. Then he signed his new contract and was awful in pretty much every game since.

I agree, especially as you don't really have the money either, but Beckford? You can't be happy wasting wages and a squad number on him. We'll get more of a return out of Beckford than we have from Vaughan over the last few years. Even if he doesn't quite cut it in the Prem, he'll be available for selection far more often and earn his wages rather than having his own personal treatment table.

Schmeichel is ok, but they need an awful lot of (better) players to go up with ease. He kept 20 plus clean sheets. Ok is a bit of an understatement, Premier League clubs were looking at him to be fair mate. To join in, also when he played a few games a couple for seasons ago for City he looked good. He didn't at all The media were raving about him cause City kept a few clean sheets but that was down to the backline being in great form and a few big slices of luck (eg when Kasper was flapping everywhere or dropping the ball on several occasions) His actual performances were pretty s***.

Silly.... This what everybody was use to say about Henrik Larsson. He prove them wrong even at wrong age... Larsson was far more athletic and had much better technical ability. It's not just about the amount of goals scored. That said, in your position, he's probably worth a gamble on a free even though I'm not convinced he will do it in the Prem. You can always sell him on.

Reckon he might move this summer after being left out of the Portugal world cup squad. Certainly impressed playing against you in the Waffa cup. In that 2nd leg a cardboard box would have impressed. Yep. In the first leg when we actually turned up he was rubbish and got taken off. Veloso was the only player of theirs who impressed over the two games rather than just in the surrender at Lisbon.

I just think sometimes people need to take their black & white tinted glasses off and realise that outside of Newcastle, not many people rate Keegan as highly as manager. They must be fuckwits. The important thing is what a manager achieves not the manner of their exit, and Keegan did a good job at City, a good job at Fulham, a good job at Newcastle the second time round and performed a minor miracle in his first managerial stint at SJP. Most managers get sacked; quitting is largely the preserve of the good ones. I don't rate Keegan much at all, not these days anyway. He spent a fortune at City and wasted most of it on utter rubbish. Despite a couple of decent league finishes it ended up going pear shaped and by the time he left they were in a real mess. He was a terrible England boss too. He did a good job at Fulham (albeit with a lot of financial muscle compared to his rivals) and did brilliantly at yourselves the first time round. That first stint is ancient history now though. George Graham, Howard Kendall, Kenny Dalglish and Terry Venables wouldn't still get any decent jobs on the back of being quality managers years ago. Their shelf life is up and I think Keegan has reached that stage now. Tin hat on.

Where would he play in their line up? In place of Stephen Ireland? A bit harsh on Ireland, really good player him. Ireland hasn't played much this season. And Milner has the attributes that have seen Ireland dropped (workrate and tactical discipline). Nothing wrong with Ireland's workrate tbf. Last two seasons he has done extra training during the summer while all the other players were away to improve his fitness & strength.
