  1. Crap performance despite the flattering scoreline. Looked totally clueless for the first hour. Can't understand Capello totally changing the side that put in the best England team performance for years vs Croatia just to accommodate Gerrard. All it proved is what everybody knew years ago- him and Lampard can not play together. Why is that so hard to accept? I thought Capello was supposed to be some disciplinarian with balls of steel but he hasn't even got the bottle to drop Gerrard. Or Lampard, either way is fine. Also, can anyone explain to me since when Matthew Upson was anything other than average? It's a bit embarrassing having him starting games for England. And what is the point in giving Beckham playing time? Hardly long term planning is it? Just give Ashley Young the chance he's deserved for the past year you fucking nutter.
  2. Saw that before I popped out before. Odds on that tomorrow's papers have a "Poyet for the Toon" story
  3. Aside from the obvious ones like Barmby and Rooney it would have to be: Now- Fabregas Past- Lee Hendrie Two arrogant, horrible shithouses.
  4. and first. Didn't realise that was him. Thought it was Wheater. There will be a reason why he f***ed up though. There always is... Been a good game this, especially the first half
  5. I carnt be bothered going into it, but off the top of my head tevez - 30 rooney- 28 carrick - 17 berbatov - 32 nani - 17 etc etc etc we have spent 21 on torres 17 on mascerarno 12 on keane 12 on babbel 10 on kuyt 6.5 on skertal, our most ever expensive defender. i think if you google it over the last 5 years we have a massive diffrence between us and mancs on net spend. We have defintly spent more than Arsenal though, although they are in a simialr posistion to us. The fact is though, the Union, isnt just about managers and owners, there will be loads in the Union that have lost patience with the manager (but not the majority). Its about tickets, prices, travel, and things like that. It is what it says, a union that will look out for the interest of its members. And its been doing that very well. Wasn't Robby Keane nearer £20 million? Shut up will you! He's busy trying to cry poverty. It's been a favoured past time at LFC since at least the Houllier era when they spunked ungodly amounts of cash to stand still.
  6. No official bids for Newcastle (scroll down a bit) http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/mihirbose/2008/10/everton_on_verge_of_sale.html
  7. The Iran coach broke down in tears when they qualified
  8. Yeah, I just saw that on SSN before! Talking about Man City in broken english What an absolute wanker

    UEFA Cup 08/09

Easiest group out of all English clubs. Yeah, I'd probably go along with that.
  10. Without being too personal, I argued that signing Coloccini and selling Faye was daft but we ended up arguing over which one was better - my point then and now was that it was a good signing as long as Faye stayed. I said after West Ham and how he played Cole I felt he would struggle against physical CFs like Yakubu, Jones and Heskey - I don't like being proved "right" and hope we can find a beast to play along side him. I'm also slightly disappointed that for an Argentinian, he hasn't really hurt anyone yet I think Pavlyuchenko will disagree there
  11. Usual "if we're winning it's because we're good. If you better us it's not you, it's us" Fact is, Everton have been sh*te and got great results when they haven't deserved it for seasons now. The opposite of us for a lot of the time. We're sh*te and we accept it as such. We can only get better. Everton are sh*te and are now being found out. I agree. Taylor's replacement at the back is obvious too I knew someone would bite. Thanks for cheering me up.
  12. He doesn't look like a £10m player, no but he was a lot more solid defensively than Taylor who you're all raving about because he was involved in the goals.
  13. Behave Who impressed you from our lot? I actually thought Coloccini had a decent game but he seems to be getting stick here. Owen was below par, usually has a blinder against us. Bassong was miles better than Enrique. tbh nobody genuinely impressed me. Two rubbish sides.
  14. Fucking shambles from us. Played some decent footy in the first half and looked like we'd cut you open everytime we kept it on the deck instead of hoofing. Second half was some of the most insipid, gutless shite I've ever seen and the defending for the two goals was comical. We actually made you look half decent in that second period. I can't see where the points are coming from for us. If we can't beat you lot at home then we can't beat anyone.
  15. Looked like more than that, more like 1,000. Weren't particularly loud but Goodison was like a morgue, one of the flattest most apathetic home atmospheres for a long time so I imagine your lads came across well on telly in comparison.
  16. I'm glad you added 'lol' to that comment - there is NO way we'll finish above them this season ; sad as it is to say, they are far more of a TEAM than NUFC, and it is teams that win matches, NOT individual talents. As things look now, NUFC will definitely be the bottom NE team in the Prem this season and its looking as if Everton are going to be the next English club taken over, while all the talking about NUFC is proving to be hot air. Potential buyers are either waiting until Ashley has to sell more cheaply(as the club struggles)or are having difficulty raising the money. Neither scenario is going to help the club finish in a decent position. The story about our takeover said both clubs (ourselves and NUFC) will be taken over at around the same time. Both deals are being brokered by this Keith Harris guy who I presume isn't the same one that spends most of his time with his hand up the arse of a giant green bird.
  17. Could go horribly wrong tbh, like when Stringer Bell went legit.
  18. Can we just play first goal the winner then? Can have an extra hour or so in the pub then Lets play goalie in and out, as well.

You can't get an English team.

Just his body language, more at the end of the game than in the interview but that was bad too. Still not signed a contract either and the situation with transfer funds in the summer was farcical too, I imagine he's still really pissed off about that. I can see him walking sooner rather than later tbh. There was a rumour posted by a decent source the other day as well that the club have withdrawn the contract offer after Moyes was finally going to sign. Might not be the whole truth but it does seem like a bit of a mess behind the curtain at the moment.

Never seen Moyes like that before, think he might be off.

Rumour a young Evertonian has been stabbed in Belgium Their fans were cunts the other week, throwing missiles pretty widespread but of course the papers didn't bother reporting it
  23. He's finished. Great fella but just not up to it anymore.
  24. don`t think we turned him down? We were just too busy fannying about deciding whether to sign him or not before Hull nipped into sign him with a concrete offer We had him here for the day training and Keegan said he'd have a word with Wise and Jimenez and let them know what he thinks, 2 days later he's gone down to Hull to sign for them on loan. If Keegan wanted him he'd of signed him as far as I'm concerned, simple as that. I'd take the judgement of Moyes and Keegan who both got rid of him over Phil Brown any day.
