  1. he's actually quite a good player tbh. Very fast and can tackle well but he's more injury prone than woodgate, and he also suffers from lapses of concentration (which usually result in a goal). Good squad player though. Really? Hmm. I've never rated him but options are limited when it comes to 4th choice players and I suppose he's at least younger and quicker than Stubbs.
  2. Pienaar coming back is a massive boost. We've missed him.
  3. Apparently we're trying to get Gardner from Spurs to replace Stubbs

    Tonight's games

Played the full 90 and was by far the MOTM according to the radio (They were jizzing over his performance tonight tbh). For Spurs he was MOTM but Lescott and Valente were both better than him. Reading the papers this morning you'd think Beckenbauer had rolled back the years and played for Tottenham last night, southern wankers in the press wind me up. Rubbish match btw.
  5. Point 2. Marlon Harewood fourth choice striker last seen coming on and changing the game at Anfield, and scoring an overhead kick? Young at 9.65m is very, very cheap indeed. Seriously, if we'd paid double that, I'd still be happy. Davies isn't cheap. He's also starting to look like an extremely good footballer who'll last us a long time. Knight has played over half our games this season. Bar the Man United game, I can't think of any bollocks he dropped, and it didn't stop us getting to 5th place. Swapping the pointless, expensive, fat failure Baros for the magnificent Carew? Looks like a good "no money involved" deal to me. Point 1 - I'd still have Milner here. Come on mate, Harewood is crap! goal at Anfield or not, especially at £4m. Don't rate Knight either but it has to be said, he hasn't looked out of his depth this season in a team that's doing well so that one has turned out a lot better than expected.
  6. He used to be boss when he was with us and first joined Rangers. Good lad too. He's not as good as he used to be now because of loads of knee injuries but still looks decent when I've seen him lately. Apart from the balloon thing.
  7. Might be a decent player if he was a regular at Zaragoza for a few years I still do not understand why Newcastle insist on signing centre backs who aren't established in the Premiership though. It's just the last thing that you need really. You want someone who can come in a do a job pretty much straight away rather than your Rozenhals and Cacapa's who need time and may or may not settle in to the style of play.
  8. Mali are fucking useless bastards. At half time, 1 down and very much in the game they took off Kanoute and put Sissoko on! They must have hired the African Steve McClaren.
  9. That Brendell seems a classy finisher.
  10. Strange appointment on your behalf. Also don't understand why he'd rather have some meaningless job upstairs at Newcastle than be the number 1 at Leeds. He would have been a hero for getting them promoted with the points deduction.
  11. Koumas probably would improve us. Koumas is s**** why get koumas when you have milner, he's twice the player. No he's not. They're both good but Koumas is technically a better footballer. Milner has a better workrate and attitude though. No idea why Bruce isn't playing Koumas, he's their best midfielder. I reckon Hughes will buy him.
  12. Pienaar, Faye and Beye coming back then. Smiles all round.
  13. Nah, just rested. Should play on Wednesday. I'm gutted Dawson won't be playing. He'd have helped us out if we needed a goal
  14. Emanuel Pogatetz, Chris Riggott, Robert Huth David Wheater & Woodgate all play centre half & Jérémie Aliadière, Lee Dong-Gook & Mido play up front. They need a striker & to afford the fee + wages of striker like Alfonso Alves, Woodgate is being sold to balance the books or at least get a bit of balance. Yeah, Wheater has emerged as a good centre half and Pogatetz is very underrated. Huth and Riggot are decent back up players to have so they won't really miss Woodgate. They desperately need a half decent striker though.
  15. I want Senegal to get knocked out. Well, I'm supporting Senegal cause I want Pienaar back here.
  16. Fucking hell  Scored at the Kop end as well
  17. They're just so much like the England team.
  18. What sort of stuff did he say? Seems odd of a man of Lesley's calibre to slate a team he regularly scored against. I think it was because he got some racist abuse from some Everton fans when he was a kid playing his first games. Okay, that was wrong, but football was like that in general then and he used to bring it up at every opportunity in the media which pissed me off.
  19. I hated Les Ferdinand. Twat always scored against us and always badmouthed us in the press.

    Walcott on Loan

He's average. All he has is pace- no brain, no strength, no real skill/technical ability. I don't think he'll amount to anything more than say Andy Johnson or Darren Bent which for all the hype is piss poor.
  21. Pretty poor at Villa from what I saw. Nothing but a Championship player. Roy Keane is abysmal in the transfer market.

    Today's matches.

Joking aren't you mate? They brought about 2,000 out of a 6,000 allocation. Crap club. Wasn't on about that; those who were there seemed loud for most of the game (albeit on the telly). I'm just reading our message boards now. Everyone who watched it on telly is saying the atmosphere was rubbish. I was there and it was great! My ears are ringing. There was only one part of the second half when it was quiet, their support included. Those Chelsea fans weren't amongst the best at Goodison this season either in terms of numbers or singing btw. f****** Sky Sports wankers had the microphones turned up in front of the Chelsea end apparently. Aye, seems to match those on 6-0-6 I heard who were saying the atmosphere was great, wheras it sounded pretty quiet. Must have just been Sky taking the piss. I don't understand why they do this rubbish. It makes no sense to me. What do they gain from perpetuating some myth that Chelsea fans are great supporters? Our fans were excellent tonight and sung the team off the pitch at the final whistle. I was sitting in the main stand and it was absolutely bouncing with people standing for 90mins. Usually it's like a library.
