I think that's what he'll do too. Especially since I saw an article recently where he was saying he loves living in the countryside in the north west, doesn't miss London at all and has family in Lancashire. I reckon he will wait for United or Liverpool to make a move. He could live in Surrey if he signed for Chelsea or Hertfordshire if he re-joined Arsenal. Both them countys are where the training grounds are & have great countryside. I would bet the mortgage on him not going to Arsenal. Wenger won't spend £12-15m on a player he developed and let go for buttons. I don't think he'd want to go back either. He said recently how he didn't like the atmosphere at the club and didn't enjoy going to training etc Don't see a place for him at Chelsea really. Unless they sell SWP just as he's starting to perform consistently for them.

Do you think Arsene might be kicking himself a bit? Didn't Bentley ask to leave ... in fact from what I remember he pretty much demanded it! Besides is he really better than any of the players in their first team right now? better than Rosicky and Walcott who also play wide midfield roles
  4. I did it the other day. Liverpool beat us to 4th on goal difference.
  5. That's why he should have played Lescott or Woodgate in the centre. Upson is a no-nonsense clogger who can't pass a football. I'm still gobsmacked he has started this match. Richards should have also started instead of Brown to give some impetus down the right. I could understand playing Brown against a dangerous team when a steadier, more defensive player might be needed and he doesn't want to leave us exposed on the flanks.... but we're playing Switzerland. In a friendly. i wouldnt say lescott is significantly better than upson at that, plus he's looked s**** at this level. Lescott is extremely comfortable on the ball. That's why he plays the full back position so well when needed. He hasn't performed for England no but in both of those games the whole defence was crap as a unit and there were certain others that fared worse (step forward Wayne Bridge and Sol Campbell). To judge him on those games is a bit silly. Anyway, my point was that Upson shouldn't have started because he has little ability. Whether you think it should have been Woodgate rather than Lescott isn't important.

  7. Upson!?! What the fuck is going on there? Lescott and Woodgate are in a whole other class to that talentless yard dog. That's the strangest decision in international football since Walcott went to the World Cup. I was surprised he even made the squad.... how on earth can he start the match? Wow. and Jenas starting as well? Capello out.
  8. If he fulfils his potential then it's got to be Huddlestone. He's got the most ability without a doubt. Joe Hart would be probably be a safer bet though as there aren't many young English keepers coming through and he looks the part. Wheater looks a good centre half but will have too many players ahead of him in the pecking order to build up a decent amount of caps I think. I suppose Taylor could come good as well but it would be the same story for him I imagine. Onouha I don't think is a right back. Theo Walcott is pretty average and won't get that many caps imo while Milner is not good enough for international football. Lennon will get the most caps out of that trio.
  9. According to what I read it's more money when he plays 25 games Then more if he makes 50 and then the final instalment if he plays 75 games
  10. Just thinking of you my friend. Nah, I'd just like to see Woodgate get a game. It is a meaningless match after all. Well, my post was inevitable wasn't it? Out of the teams posted so far I like Speccy's the most. Would really like to see that one given a go.
  11. How anyone can have Woodgate over Lescott based on the past 18months of performances is beyond me. It really is. But in a way, I hope he doesn't play because if he got injured I would fear for our season.
  12. Nillis looked class from what I remember but got crocked very soon after signing and never played again. From the picture it looks like it was that utter buffoon of a man Richard Wright that did it
  13. We can but hope... Until recently Spurs had the attitude that they wouldn't pay big wages until they were a top 4 side. Now they're prepared to pay a crock £65,000 a week and pushing through transfers despite failed medicals (I can't see why Hertha would lie about this). So I'd say you have reason for more then hope Reading between the lines the supposed "failed medical" was Spurs pulling a stunt to get the fee knocked down with Hertha knowing it was too late to set up a deal elsewhere and that they'd lose the player for nothing in the summer if they didn't sell now. It makes sense if you put it together with Hertha Berlin saying they were "disappointed with Spurs conduct" or words to that effect
  14. I don't think Hodgson is likeable at all. Think they're a bit of a pointless club in general. All very nice and supposed to be a good away day but really, they're never a top division side.
  15. Thought you'd get your first win under Keegan today. Especially with no Alves up front for Boro.
  16. shocking decision, so bad it was funny. sorry! Well, I'd probably be laughing if it was another team so don't worry about it. Shit like this makes me think we could miss out on fourth though. Referees to the rescue for Liverpool!
  17. Why do we get fucked over by officials so much!? So fucking sick of obvious bad decisions going against us all the time. That linesman should just be demoted immediately if he doesn't even know the fucking rules but I'm not sure that's the case. He never gave us anything all day. Everyone was already saying how bad he'd been before the disallowed goal.
  18. I think if we signed another midfielder we would have finished fourth Now, it's up in the air.

    Favourite Grounds

The Bernabau is worse on the graffiti front When I visited there were all these columns around the stadium by the turnstyles and every one of them seemed to be covered in racist graffiti or stuff about ultras and certain players. Don't know why somebody would want to do that to their own ground.
  20. Oh great, Pienaar out for 2/3 weeks with an ankle injury Fucking stupid tournament
  21. Wrong. Alan Stubbs to Derby about 8 hours ago.
  22. Haven't seen much of him for you guys. Has he done that well then? Yeah. He started slowly but has been better than Arteta this season for me. Looks a good player. Always kept my eye on him because he has "Newcastle" listed as his favourite team on Champ Man/Football Manager and it just seemed so very random. Glad that he's doing well. It's true mate. He's a toon fan! Someone dug up an old interview on bluekipper a while ago from when he was at Ajax and he was talking about Newcastle and why he supports them.

  24. Ishmael Miller has signed permanently for WBA. Surely he is better than Vassel and Mpenza. Still a kid too.
