This is why you should never release books when you're still in the game. Never know who your next boss or teammate will be.

Even McFadden can't believe it, check out the picture they've used http://img.skysports.com/08/01/218x298/mcfadden_619458.jpg http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3053971,00.html

Two words came to mind when I heard this: "Howard Kendall" Never go back they say. And they're usually right.

James McFadden? Why surprised? Birmingham is about his level. He's crap. Around £5m we're getting apparently I suppose it's the going rate for rubbish strikers these days- Nugent, Chopra, Harewood etc

Could be an exciting appointment for you I think

Somehow I doubt it. A couple of weeks ago his agent was basically begging us to sign him in the press, next day Moyes says he hasn't spoken to the agent and doesn't want to sign Van Buyten. Which I believe since centre back is the last position we need a player in. Do you really think he'd go to the SPL if Villa/City/Spurs/Newcastle had made firm offers?

Have kind of kept away from watching football all weekend.... what were they like at your place ? Not very good, but that's not what I'm basing it on. They remind me of our team when we finished 4th- getting a large slice of luck in that they nick a lot of their wins by 1 goal and are not actually as good as their position suggests. I think they will end up finishing about 7th and will need to invest again in the summer to maintain that kind of position. Up front in particular needs some serious cash. With all respect, they have a more talented squad than you had when you came 4th. I know they do. But that wasn't my point, I'm talking about the way they are picking up their points.

It was inevitable that Cahill would move on at some point. I wish him all the best in his pursuit of trophies at the mighty Birmingham City.

People are going overboard about Sven and Man City, been saying that for a while now

"Mister, he plays like a 40-year-old. He can not run any more"

I can't believe I just read that. I was at the game mate, every 50/50 went to City and half your team could have had cards. He also had a strange habit of playing advantage when we were on the halfway line and you had about 6 men in your box with no space to make a counter attack. He was awful.
-
Castillo not all that then? Did f*** all today. He looked pretty shite. We just went out to defend in the second half after being on top and getting the goal in the first and you never really created anything. Pretty poor display. Mark Halsey is such a cunt though. Did everything he could to help you lot, some of his decisions were baffling.

£6.5m I think the fee is. Agger was £6m. Even we spent £5m on Slaven Bilic ten years ago when we were totally skint.

He's not signed officially yet. He was having a medical today apparently, hopefully he can play against City tomorrow. PSG have also had their bid accepted as well. Now up to the player Also Downing very close to agreeing terms with Spurs (needed that like a hole in the head!) and Diarra talking terms with Spurs tomorrow. If he still wants £90k pw fair to assume that is dead in the water before it even starts. Hope so. Don't want him here. Didn't want him at WHL either. Absolutely gutted as there are now 3 top notch ITKs saying it is nearly done. Even more so when they start talking about £12m!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That could include add-ons but Jeez, I'm staggered Levy would agree to that. Also heard €10m bid for Carlos Karmeni of Espanyol. Cya Robbo. tbh I think Kameni is a keeper you could do without. Good shot stopper but not very good at commanding the box, claiming crosses etc and you need someone who can organise a defence. At least he wouldn't get beaten by a long range shot every week like Robinson though.

Probably because of the stunning ignorance and arrogance of that statement without anything to back it up with I'd imagine. Fortunately most of you on here aren't like that or I wouldn't post on here.

Kroldrup plays for Fiorentina now. We sold him after 6months and 2games.
-
When has Arry ever not had a busy transfer window?
-
O'Neil's not shy of splashing a bit of cash is he? Good signing for you but way overpriced
-
If by legend you mean smarmy twat who deserves a kicking then I agree.
-
Should have waited until the end of the season without a doubt imo.

We done our bit tbh. Sold out our allocation and all the noise was comming from our section. I know you sold your allocation, Spurs away support is nearly always good. Atmosphere was still poor though even if most of the singing was coming from your end. I would have thought that if Arsenal bandwagon fans didn't want to go tonight that Spurs fans would have snapped up the tickets with it being 10mins down the road and a big game but there were rows upon rows of empty seats in the top tier.
