How can you say that when we have barely had enough time to judge Cabaye? It's a major ask for these new signings to hit the ground running when they come from a different country/league. Taking to it like to a duck to water (as Robert did) is very rare. It's not like Cabaye suddenly just materialised into existence when we signed him - Nut is referring to his set piece taking ability, which is something that can be judged based on his career in French football. Taking a corner isn't more difficult in the premier league. Great let's not worry about him adapting to the pace of the Premier League. At least we'll have good corners.... Bit of an overreaction in here. Just because we've agreed a deal with a keeper doesn't mean they've said: "WOAH, hold back on the left back and the striker, this keeper's available, sign him up first!"... I think the club know where the priorities lie, it's just that this deal was probably an awful lot easier to complete, hence it's happened first.

Even at half the price, Keirrison would be a far greater gamble. Proven nothing in his career.

There's a time to commit yourself and a time to jockey - more often than not the correct thing to do is jockey. Sometimes Simpson gets it wrong, but nowhere near as often as people make out. What do you mean ""? Take the time to watch any top-class defensive full-back and take note of how often they commit themselves. Like I say, Simpson sometimes takes it to the extreme and doesn't always block the crossing-angle adequately, but it's nowhere near as regular an occurrence as you're making out like.
