As amusing as it would be, surely Pards is second favourite these days after such a great season? After all, McLaren got the job after winning the bloody League Cup!

We have to count on a Liverpool win again? How many times has that been this season? Seriously, how many times is it? I know the Everton semi was a biggie, but what else? We needed you to win the League Cup too. Because our collecting EL spots guaranteed you a place in Europe? Because otherwise you would have taken the spot for the FA Cup winners/runners up. You took the League Cup one, which means that the FA Cup one now drops to league since both you and Chelsea are qualified for Europe, thus confirming our place in Europe too. If you had lost to Cardiff then 6th wouldn't get into Europe so we'd still be fighting it out with Chelsea and Spurs. I thought Cardiff (and Swansea) weren't allowed to compete in Europe through English league participation anyway? Isn't it one of those UEFA rules that apply to the dodgy Home Nations status? Similar to the Team GB being a one off, or else UEFA member nations were going to kick off about "one country when it suits them, four when it doesn't"?

Makes you wonder what the mackems are watching when they put him on the bench of their combined teams... Yoink
-
No one wants them to win the Final. Just the semi...
-
I don't believe he is a Red. I'm fucking watching him like a hawk.
-
I really wish ther was a conspiracy, because then they'd give the dozy cunt a lifetime ban for saying there was a conspiracy...

Yep, that says it all for me too. Shevchenko was van Basten-esque at Milan, class of the league for mine. I can't stand Chelsea (or Milan for that matter), but when Sheva came to the EPL I wanted him to do what he'd done in Italy. Proper head scratcher, and head shaker...

Yup, that was my only regret - it was all set up for Ben Arfa to rifle on in from 40 yards, but hearing the "Ole" chants almost made up for it...

To paraphrase Bobby Baccalieri: "You April-Fools-playing-Poms, you go too far." But thank you for reminding me how lame Toontastic is

Beautiful "It just makes you a thick cunt"

From what I understand, Ticketus loaned Whyte the money, rather than the club. Whyte then used that cash to pay off the 18m overdraft, which he called a loan and named himself as preferred creditor on that basis. Slippery as fuck if true! BTW if that IS true, how dumb are Ticketus? Maybe I'll hit them up for a loan too if they're throwing money around on wishes and dreams...

Tottenham's win over the Toon was a fix, because the FA want to give Levy the title in return for 'Arry. Pardew was installed as third favourite for the England job thanks to FA officials leaking at Ashley's behest (to raise the credibility of "his man"). In return, Pardew's team lay down and allowed 'Arry to look like a great manager before the world. Spuds players weren't in on it - they played as normal but because we ran dead they simply smashed us. It will all be proven true in the next few games when Man Utd start conceding penalties...

"Morally" ? can anyone explain that one ? Something like "It was my extraordinary management skills that saw Peter Crouch's value rise so much, and so when he was sold against my will at least I had a moral claim to some of the fabulous wealth I created. With my extraordinary management skills." Perhaps?

I don't think they belong in English competitions. Same as Swansea in the prem, it's wrong and opens a door for Celtic and rangers argument. Also, Cardiff are a filthy club full of scum, the Millwall of Wales. At least Swansea play good football, have decent fans, have good players and a great manager, still don't want them in the premiership though. You get off lightly - in the Australian A-League we have a club not only from a different nation, but a different damned confederation!!!

He's had great success, but calling him a great manager... I hesitate to go that far. Winning the Champions League at Porto was a massive achievement, no doubts. But after that, well, at Chelsea he was boss during Arsenal and Liverpool's decline but before Man City's ascent. In effect, he won a two-horse race through vastly superior spending power, and ultimately failed to win the big prize (the CL). At Inter, in the post-calciopoli Serie A, it was a one-horse race when he was there - and while he did win the CL there, he achieved it with some of the ugliest anti-football seen outside of an Allardyce team. Added to which, he is totally without class and a whinging child to boot. Bollocks to his bloated reputation - I hope he DOES go to Liverpool and flushes his reputation down the same toilet KKK Dalglish is using at the moment.

I'm sorry, but I'm having trouble buying the theory that holding out on Watford will drive the price down. Neither am I convinced that they are desperate to sell. Maybe I'm just being a Negative Nancy, but I've got this inclination that if this is our "only" option and we play brinkmanship then we might miss out - because we all know Ashley won't be held to ransom and he'd rather walk away than pay the extra...
-
What's even worse is that, despite how appalling he has been described on this thread, he's still 100000x the footballer any of us will ever be So true The absolute worst player to ever play Premiership football could probably run circles around all of us. Nah, there's Alan Smith. At what point does Pards look at the match videos, and then look past options like Lovenkrands and Vuckic, and past Phil Airey and Adam Campbell and Dan Taylor, and look at Alan Smith and think "He might be an option, rather than Shola"...? And how would we feel to see Smith selected instead of Ameobi...?

A team that strong, we'd only need nine too!

Just so I understand your opinion, you think it's okay for a black man who was subjected to this sort of racial vilification his whole career to then turn around and say, effectively, that Liverpool fan's treatment of a black player shouldn't be highlighted in the current debate because they happen everywhere else? Because in the context of the current debate, that's what is being said. His attitude has consistently been one of defending his former club when he has a unique ability to lead the debate and the campaign to eradicate racial vilification from the game. So, you're right, that might not be sickening, but I certainly find it so...
-
As offensive as KKK Dalglish, and Luis Suarez, and the t-shirt wearing players have been, John Barnes' attitude throughout this scandal has been fucking disgraceful. Of all the people in the world, he should be the man to say "I love my club, but we have to root this out." Instead, he is a mealy-mouthed apologist for the defence of racism. Sickening
-
If the Spanish language experts were from Manchester, wouldn't that make them City fans and thus more likely to help Liverpool's cause...?
-
That's exactly the post I wanted to make. Hate Liverpool, fucking hate them. It's so frustrating that we couldn't manage a draw against the cunts. Also, fuck off Obertan.
-
Maybe his missus is a Shakespeare buff?
-
Oh, but he's not playing and is therefore available, and he'd love the chance to play for a bigger club, don't you know. Lucas Podolski, too... Morons
