I'm guessing you didn't realise he's out of contract in the summer and will be available to any club who wants him, free of charge...?
-
That's it - don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way our Titus...
-
I sure hope not - signing a pre-contract at this stage is the equivalent of tapping up!!! However, as Martin Jol winked at, doubtless over a few drinks with his advisors, numbers were exchanged and hands shaken...
-
Aye - fuck Harry Kewell. Apart from the ridiculous wages and shocking injury record he's also a showy cunt who picks his games as much as Babayaro and is no better than Duff let alone the Zog If ever there was a player to follow Beckham into the retirement leagues of the MLS then it it this waste of space...

mackems.gif Irony No, not really. Shall I break it down for you, as if you are the 12-year-old you are coming across as? Your opinion which prompted my post: To which I responded (hint: highlighting the bold bit means that I am specifically responding to that portion of your quote) Are you keeping up so far? I’ll assume so, although that’s giving you a lot of credit you haven’t proved worthy of thus far… Now it gets tricky. This time you responded The above post was: As this linked response in no way, shape or form had anything whatsoever to do with my argument, it was at this point I decided that you had no purpose in this thread except to be argumentative for the sake of it, for whatever reason. And then when you do actually answer the question Northern Monkey posed, you choose to bedazzle us with your uninformed speculation. So I have to say I’m confused where you think you might have wrested some sort of intellectual superiority – but I know how important it is to you to always be right, and to have the last word, so please, continue this ad nauseum, but do it without me…

Why, you ask? May I produce a list of reasons? Man City (h) 0-1 Charlton (a) 0-2 AZ (a) 0-2 Smoggies (h) 0-0 Wigan (a) 0-1 Fulham (a) 1-2 Birmingham (h) 1-5 Failing to adequately strengthen the squad in January That's eight very good reasons why Roeder should not be here - and that's just this calendar year! Like you said, it's not fucking rocket science, is it! see above post Hmmm... I've just remembered a proverb about arguing with idiots...

Post of the day, if not the week!

To be fair Stankovic is absolute class - would walk into any Premier League team and displace some very highly rated players in the process...
-
I'm with everyone else - I'd have him in a heartbeat... Personally, when it comes to off-the-field models, then Bolton is one of the benchmark clubs, and I'd be delighted if we could have a revolutionary change of structure, philosophy and dynamic at the club... If someone could dig up the uber-post posted a few weeks ago I'd be much obliged(regarding Bolton's army of support staff, their methods and even the way players input into the way other clubs do things in the search for improvement) Big Sam? Hell yes!

1. Rob Lee - for all the reasons andynufc84 said... 2. Lee Clark (the first coming) - loved his youthful flair and exuberance, absolutely loved him. Plus the t-shirt he wore when he was playing for the Mackems! 3. Obafemi Martins - yes, I know he's not the new Shearer, or Rooney, but I love him for the same reasons I loved Clark - youthful exuberance and flair, utterly unpredictable and occasionally unplayable. Plus he's about the only current player I have any affection for...

Maybe we should ask the FA if we could borrow Venables for the last few games like the smoggies did all those years ago mackems.gif

lets be honest here there is practically no chance of roeder getting sacked this season unless the majority of fans make a concerted effort at games to make there voices heard and make it so uncomfortable for freddy that he has to act and get rid .roeder just puts down the fans and blames everyone else for our predicament when his track record shows he is not up to it and is visibly crumbling in front of us with seige mentality .he is basically slagging off his players and there value drops accordingly and has a negative effect for coming games as he cannot motivate . Zero goals and zero points from our next three games might do it though - and not beyond the realms of possibility either...
-
If we're going down that path, I'd rather go with Slaven Bilic - at least he played in England...
-
Well yeah lol thats why i said "who should keep their" not "who will be dropped" True - maybe it's just a symptom of my melancholy, but hypotheticals like this make me despair. I was actually quite taken with Newcastle Rocker's proposal that nine of the starting XI be dropped in favour of fringe players and reserves, just for one game mind, to really give the "senior players" a kick up the ass. We're going to lose to Sheffield United anyway, may as well do it with a statement of intent... But that thread is closed now, let's not re-open it here - please ignore my miserable meanderings...
-
You're dreaming if you think Carr, Parker or Duff is going to be dropped, frankly...
-
Possibly the most insightful comment in the whole thread - and totally overlooked!!! We all know Oliver is the lapdog of the club - so I'd say it's very interesting that Oliver is, for the first time, directly turning his poison pen on Roeder. At Freddy's request...? nufc.com said Saturday was the day Roeder lost the fans - has he also lost Anal Oliver and/or Freddy Shepherd? Much as I despise this so-called journalist, this gives me some hope that Roeder will be out sooner rather than later (which opens the whole can of worms re who is next, but lets leave that for another thread...)

I'm pretty sure that the last time we did a keeper top five that's exactly how I listed them too... EDIT: Yup - here's my comments (which have particular relevance to this thread) That's exactly why I'm not doing a world top 5 (well, I do watch more than the EPL but not enough to have solid opinions) - but I will do one for the Premier League (same as duwy's, just different order) 1. Cech 2. Van Der Saar 3. Friedel 4, Given 5. Jaaskelainen Always been a big Friedel fan - and I'm not the only one: ''Brad Friedel must have changed in a telephone box. I wouldn't be surprised if when he takes his shirt off there's a blue jersey with an 'S' underneath.'' (G. Strachan) The whole thread - http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36226.0

This - he was also pretty damned good at Juventus and Ajax before that too...
-
It's not often I agree with you Stevie, but your last two posts in this thread have been spot on
-
It matters not really (when it comes to gambling anyway) - 15/1 for next season is "must-take" odds and unless the bookies know something we don't then they're going to get raped!!! EDIT: Just realised who the Bookmaker "Nick" is Point still stands though - unless you do know something we don't?
-
No odds for Pompey (which was my vote)? The logic being that a loss to Sheffield Utd would probably be too soon for Shepherd, no one expects us to get anything from Arsenal, but losing to Pompey would put us in serious trouble. Especially if we fail to score in those three games (which is a very real possibility) But I fear the majority are correct, that we will have to wait until next season...
-
This is my fear - I'd hope Freddy can see the danger (surely even if he were as stupid as his most ardent critic assumed Freddy could see this?) and act in the summer when there is a better opportunity to find a suitable candidate than a few weeks into the new season?
-
Depends who else was in the frame - something we were never privy too...
-
Ah yes, Mr Bond... Please see my comment about goldfishes and memories!
