Here I was imagining some sort of Mr Burns device, when you’re talking about a bloody newspaper
-
The sheer joy as he was celebrating the third was simply awesome

Sweet Your styling really fits the retro look.

Yes, of course. You think otherwise? Pearson is a nutcase, but there’s clearly something about him as a manager. Bruce has never once demonstrated any managerial ability.
-
Don’t know why, but I was expecting Gerd Muller

the wum is strong with this one The hint is in the username which, in an understated manner, describes Ashley’s playing with our hearts...
-
Makes you wonder - were Hoffenheim using him differently, or did our scouts see something that simply isn't there?

Australian media suggesting Tim Cahill is a leading contender for the Everton job Didn't realise Big Dunc had been installed temporarily EDIT: misread the story and was deceived by the parochial headline. Cahill is under consideration as Moyes' assistant. Dunno is that's funnier or not!
-
Was his goal the only time he crossed the halfway line?
-
3 is generous. He's a fucking carthorse whose absurdly poor performance is masked by successfully doing his job a single time.

Yes, Bruce deserves credit for Dubravka being magnificent, but Bruce also deserves credit for all seven of his defenders playing well, too (eight, after 87 minutes).

It is in this thread that I can confess that I am to blame for Brewcie's cheer tonight - the world's worst gambler thought 1.80 for Sheffield Utd was buying money. Just looking through my betting account, and I have won ONCE in eighteen bets. FML.

Pretty sure we could ask 20-30m for each of the Longstaff brothers Matty's played like 3 games And Sean had played seven when Ashley supposedly demanded 50m for him in the summer. At the time, many here thought 30-35m wasn't enough. How much do you think a club would have to pay to sign Matty Longstaff? If Ashley accepted a bid of 20m, would you think that sound value? (Ignoring the fact that we are not a normal club!!!)

Word. Fractional odds are for crooked SP bookmakers

Perhaps Freddie Ljungberg will get a few results and a clamour can begin for the "old boy come home" schtick to play out again...?

Hope Hughton steers well clear - place is a graveyard from managers

Dunno about bent. I’m more comfortable using terms like jingoistic or xenophobic. There’s another word that sits alongside those two...

Aren’t they sack-happy in China? A run like that might see him get a golden handshake...

Yup, acknowledging the inevitable and having lots of time to come to terms with the reality of Liverpool fans giving the big one for the next aeon is some consolation.

Absolutely insane how much it angers some lads. It’d be hilarious if it wasn’t a bit worrying. Hail the Patriarchy, apparently...

Well, that's how I watch football in Australia. I subscribe to Optus Sports (FREE with any Optus mobile phone service or A$14.99 per month), get ALL matches live and on demand replays, highlights et al. Includes the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and Internationals.

Would that make Rafa a candidate for Leicester? You'd think they'd be in a position to approach just about anyone.

Aye, I understand apathy or even antagonism towards the regime, but I can't get behind celebrating when the other team scores like. Even more so when it's one of the plastic, money clubs like City scoring. Pretty much where I am. It's very easy to celebrate (only a mental 'ha ha' for me, no jumping around) when you view the club as Sports Direct United rather than Newcastle United. I sort of understand that perspective but it still seems odd to me to keep watching, if I legitimately wanted us to lose every week and no longer considered the team in black in white to represent Newcastle I think I'd probably give it a miss until I felt differently. To continue watching seems masochistic at best. Because they do still care.its just uber cool to join the fucking morons in wanting us thrashed and say they dont care because it's what the cool kids do.ive no idea why if they hate the club so much they bother. They still watch though, they still know stats etc yet dont give a fuck Dear me. How is it that hard to understand that the reason people want the club (in its current guise) to fail is because they care deeply about the club that used to exist before Ashley took over. What people don't give a fuck about is Sports Direct United. FWIW, I haven't watched a matched in years. I've got better things to do with my time. I enjoy coming on on here though for the craic, the community and the connection with home as I live in the Midlands now. Oh I understand, it's the twatty attitude of folk giving it get in when the oppo score So, I just went through the thread to count the overwhelming number of Militant Mags who said "get in" after City scored. Let's see... when Sterling scored, precisely ZERO posters felt moved to say "Get in" or ANYTHING that could be remotely construed as cheering in the City goal. When KDB scored his worldie, exactly ONE person said get in, and ONE other person quoted that post. Which prompts me to ask to please fuck off with your Trumpian bullshit?
