The thing I like about him is his directness, the amount of times Man Utd are defending then the ball pops out to him and with no team mate in sight will simply just run full pelt up the pitch and often win a corner or throw in high up the pitch is amazing. Also he's beggining to remind me of Henry in that position in outside left where he's running at the full back, then cuts inside and hits it into the far corner, like Henry we, and the defence knows he's going to do it, but there's just nothing that they can do to stop it.

I like this post a lot. Supporters (at least on here) seem to think that just because its NUFC and a few years back we were a top side, we still are one, or should be preforming like one. After robson's exit, and souness' mess, it will take some time to get back to where the club should be and people really need to be more patient. The one slight flaw with that is unfortunately we can't snap our fingers and develop/lose big club mentalities/100% attitudes. We need a GOOD manager to help us as fans and the players to do that. Well, we're only a good manager and 6 or 7 good players away from that, then. Could be worse I spose.

Where do I sign up to this gay league? Edit: BOOO!

Tbh, I'm sure we'd all rather sit here and slate Roeder for signing old injury prone players, than slate him for getting fuck all in instead. I know I would. At least the man would show he's capable of doing something to try and improve this team without his 100% risk free and deliver no end product mentality.
-
Yeah, if Harry Redknapp can get players along the lines of Lauren and Campbell and get them playing, then there's no reason apart from being poor in that department that Roeder couldn't. And let's face it, he hardly makes up for it in other departments.

Heh, I've always thought Pattison looks like a wild Boar in full flight.
-
Fucks sake I turned this one off at half time.

Gary Naysmith.

I hate Diouf, he has a face like a rat, and I hate rats. And he's a dirty, sly, spitting, annoying cunt aswell.
-
I think he is a diver, but he's very good at it, which is rare in an Englishman. I wouldn't begrudge Oba going down like he does so I don't begrudge him going down either.
-
Never though I would but I agree with Douga.
-
Yep. Nope IMO. Arsenal fans don't know how lucky they are/will be with their youngsters.

Carrick or Lennon. Both good players, but are built up to be something that they just aren't.

Because if it wasn't for Martins good performances this season we'd be going down. Where would we be without Milners goals and assists? 3 goals and 3 assists in the Premiership according to SkySports.com I doubt we'd be much worse off tbh, if you take his goals out we'd only be 2 points down. But Milner gets through a hell of a lot of defensive work that Martin's doesn't, probably worth a point or two. Then think of the build up play etc. It's not his sole primary aim, to win us us points, like it is Martins'. When comparing players in two different positions, stats don't mean much.

He's a victim of the way we play. i.e we don't. We don't have a set way of playing so a lot of the time he's isolated and his only option is to either give it back or cross, either of which reflects bad on him because most of the time the cross gets cleared because there's noone there to get it, and playing the ball back looks negative. Lord have mercy!

I agree, bollocks to the rest of the domestic season. We'll not get relegated and we'll not get into Europe. As long as Roeder is in charge we'll never have a set way of playing, the team will just go out hoping, rather than believing. A lot of games we have won have been by luck. We always seem to do everything the hard way, and have zero variation in our game. It's all friggin win one, lose one, win one, lose one. We haven't got a particularly good team, and there's not many that will develop into good players. We're not on the brink of somehow resurging up the table like we did under Bobby, yet we're not going down either. Which means Roeder will still get credit for doing a 'solid job' and him and the chairman will play off that so he stays in charge, rather than perhaps taking a risk and looking to develop. Until Roeder goes i'm afraid we will be in the same position in a few years, by which time everyone around us will have progressed, i.e the Villa's Everton's etc. And it will a considerably tougher job for his successor to take us back to where we want to be. But the most depressing thing for me is, we're stuck with Roeder, when someone says 'well who is there better available?' I can't think of anyone. IMO we're in a bit of a hole and for now we're stuck in it and there not much we can do to get out.

Yeah it looks like the design of one of Barca's. I like it though.
-
Charlton equalise at the death.
-
What did he say?
-
You've got to admire them.
-
Perhaps he caught Dyer's bug? I'm a little undecided, means Zog will play, but I still want Duff to play out his bad run and pick up confidence.
-
Bit of both, but not entriely either, if you get what I mean. I'd like him to come here. He can run with the ball, and get back and get his foot in, and seems to have a good engine.
-
0-0 written all over it imo. That or someone to snatch a 1-0, reckon it'll be tight though.
-
I'd have loved to had been there for that. Shearer had a decent chance to win it aswell even after his equaliser, aww that would have been bliss. Best game I attended was probably the 2-0 down 3-2 up at Fulham at Loftus Road.
