  1. Some bastard's bought my old seat.
  2. They actually went quite easy on him IMO, due in no small part to how utterly incompetent he obviously is as the leader of such a business. Actually, you're right. It wasn't intense pressure. Just pressured. And yet he was gibbering away in a rather amateurish fashion letting loose all sorts of comments such as you'd expect someone to do when floundering in an interview. EH just came across as spectacularly inept, really. I'm coming away from watching that session with a sense of a man who's more like Jack (of Jack & The Beanstalk) at the point where he doesn't really understand why his beanstalk has grown so huge.
  3. Seriously, it's been revealing to see how badly he dealt with questioning under intense pressure. Not what I expected at all.
  4. Any minute now we'll see him flounce out the room. Come on Paul, get him skewered!
  5. While Ashley sits there stuttering his way into a world of horrible headlines for Sports Direct I can't help wondering how many of these MPs have run successful businesses? What qualifies them to point the finger?
  6. Bemuses me how someone of apparently limited intellect has done "so well" in life, really. He's really not very bright is he?
  7. He's being stunningly frank and candid in some ways, but we all know it's empty bullshit rhetoric. He'll do the precise sum of fuck all to address the Committee's concerns, unless they make him...
  8. Please. Please. Wish that would come true!
  9. Another year in which NUFC is in the Championship while Hull are in the Premiership. Feels so wrong.

Wait, what???! I just want to get rid of it - was thinking of giving it to SBR Foundation or the Shearer Foundation if they wanted to raffle it, for example...just didn't want to be giving them something that was of negligible value.

Excuse the bump. Anyone know what sort of value to put on something like this? Is it car boot sale or eBay material? http://i.imgur.com/Ukyz0Tc.jpg
  12. Well that's cheered me up no end. Just trawled back through this thread from a couple months back. Honestly never thought we'd see someone of Benitez pedigree and calibre want to take the job, let alone be appointed by Ashley. So I humbly apologise for being a miserable bastard, but I think you know where that stems from. I had a large cup of coffee this morning (it's not tasted as good from that mug for a while) and I'm eating a huge slice of humble pie right now and I'm ready for this. Vive La Rafalution!
  13. That would be a good while away I reckon but we might quite quickly get to the point where you can't just turn up on match day and get a ticket any more. There hasn't been a waiting list since the expansion to 52000 has there? Worst of it for me is I (gullibly) believed for years and years that there was a massive waiting list so therefore there was no point even trying to get a season ticket.
  14. So who else reckons there's every chance Rafa could get things back to a point where there's massive 3 year long waiting lists for season tickets?
  15. How long are we going to give it before launching the Rafa Out campaign, like? Rafa Out!!!
  16. Check out the big brain on Brett! He's a smart motherfucker that's right, we got relegated because we lost too many games. We'd have stayed up if we had got more points.
  17. Hope not. Beats the shit out of having someone like Jordan Rhodes though
  18. I've thought the same, tbh. The whole thing seems so contrived. Hmmm... Either it was a dummy bomb (in which case I'm wondering why you'd need to have one that's so convincing that it makes police and security guards shit themselves to the extent they order an evacuation and abandonment of a match, and undertake a controlled explosion?) or it was actually a real bomb but they don't want to spark widespread public panic ahead of the Euros so they've come up with this marginally plausible cover story. We'll not be told anytime soon, but there's enough reason to suspect it might, just might, be a case of the latter...
  19. This pic from the BBC report seems to suggest Wijnaldum found scoring rather more exciting than most... :undecided: http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/024D/production/_89698500_wijnadlum_epa.jpg http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36240333
  20. They never score when it matters.

Still bemuses me how a demi-literate, inbred knucklehead made it into the world of sports journalism. Oh, no...wait... I thought that it was a prerequisite. Aye. That might have been the point I was making when I said "Oh, no...wait...".
