Personally I don't think we could ever sign enough self-serving, swaggering, overrated egomaniac French players. What we need is more cheese-eating surrender monkeys. Get him signed.

If they're doing his medical, will they need to give his mobility scooter the once over as well?
  3. In all seriousness, what sort of University degree allows polling like this? Methodologically-speaking it's weak as piss. It's not a degree you're getting, it's a piece of toilet roll. Worthless. Utterly fucking worthless. How the fuck your dissertation tutor scraped a pass at GCSE, let alone somehow got a Doctorate when she's permitting shit questions like "What is the image transferred between sponsor and sponsee of Newcastle United Football Club?" to be part of a survey beggars belief. And they say the value of a British education has been depleted in recent years... That said, the very best of luck to you in the future. You're gonna fucking need it.
  4. Although in laymans terms you are correct the technical definition of a sponsorship involves slightly more than just money. In terms of my dissertation, the complete definition is required. If you're interested the full use of sponsorship is: “a business relationship between a provider of funds, resources or services and an individual, event or organisation which offers in return some rights and associations that may be used for commercial advantage”. Although this does include funds, the relationship between sports direct and NUFC is still a form of sponsorship. So going by that definition, this is a sponsorship deal as well, right? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/08/07/article-2385937-1B2F93B6000005DC-809_634x366.jpg

This. And this. Aye, this too! FFS!!! Think we can work out by association who the sneaky untrustworthy bastard in this equation really is, aye?!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35333790 Twat. £4million seems a remarkably low figure, as well.
  7. Didn't see this on the news earlier, so sharing in case others also missed it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-35302011
  8. Cause we've bought some shite in different windows. I really hate Colback, the most of all. Time takes it's toll, right on my eyes. Promise me this, drop him tonigghhhht.
  9. Cheers. And I don't think he's good enough for a value of £12m - the fact he's an England international means nothing, unless you've never heard of Carlton Palmer.
  10. Sorry if this has been covered in the thread previously, but £12million?!!! Are you having a laugh? :mike:
  11. https://www.facebook.com/bbcnewcastle/videos/10153352176866279/?pnref=story Watch that video. Listen to that accent. Proper Geordie, god bless him. He loved us and knew we loved him.
  12. Pretty disgusted to get a fucking sales email from NUFC in my inbox two hours after Pav's death was announced. Might've been a nice gesture to suspend their persistent and mercilessly shite e-marketing for at least a night, no? Respect costs nowt, but showing some right now would've meant the world to fans.
  13. Nice to get this email from the Club on the day Pavel Srnicek died, little more than 2 hours after the announcement was made. Really classy. http://bit.ly/1OrmRKu
  14. Yeah, it's far from ideal but let's not give way to such melodramatic shite, man. The club is far from dying.
  15. I'm not quite there yet, but I've definitely become emotionally closed down to NUFC these days, as a form of self-preservation. I've actually lost interest in football massively since Mike Ashley's arrival here. Maybe I'm a glory hunter, but right now, I couldn't care less.

    Jimmy Hill RIP

Big-chinned bastard queue-jumped ahead of me and landed himself the last extra legroom seat on a flight from Edinburgh to Gatwick once. I've still never forgiven him.
  17. Fucking hell. Hope the lad can pull through.
  18. The Beast of Bolsover speaks: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/sports-direct-owner-mike-ashley-is-a-monster-of-a-man-says-mp-whose-constituency-the-companys-a6772941.html
  19. So Chukka Umunna raises an urgent question at Parliament today, about SportsDirect, and it doesn't even feature on BBC News. IN fact, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Ashley has a stranglehold on pretty much all news media other than the Guardian the way things are: http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/dec/14/sports-direct-crisis-grows-as-mps-and-investors-question-business I still hope that with investors now getting gippy about Ashley's sharp business practices, things are reaching a pinch point for him. You never know - if the share price was to take a tumble, he could maybe do himself up like Ratner and be left to scurry away under the rock from whence he came...leaving NUFC bankrupt. But still, we'd have our club back, wouldn't we? Erm, maybe...
  20. Front page. No such thing as bad publicity, though...eh?
  21. Just caught sight of the scoreline. I'd pretty much given up any hope of anything other than a total humiliation from the scousers. Will catch up with this later on, but the downside to winning is it strengthens Ashley & McClaren's tenure.

    Steve McClaren

You know the answer to this. And you know it was a rhetorical question...
