  1. That's something that could be resolved surely? Far more likely for my money that he just doesn't want to sell and just doesn't even enter into negations. Reading between the lines there he's only ever told her what he disliked about her offers but never actually made a counter offer of any sort, something that her side could work with. Of course, putting a counter offer in carries the risk that the other side match it and you would then have to actually sell the asset. Just a further point on this: Seems they've never been convinced AS is serious, bids or not. Why? Douglas works for NCJ Media, being negative unless he’s the one to get the big scoop is how they roll. The other guy is an out and out cunt and has never had sex in case it brought him pleasure. Big claim about 'the other guy' there, skidmark. For all you know, he could be a poster on here....
  2. Because people are obviously going to carry out these crimes ffs Because everyone's sounding so rational and level-headed right now, you mean?
  3. Sorry to be a total poindexter but.... Get a grip. Yes we're all angry about this but seriously...posting death threats or inciting criminal or violent acts really isn't smart, when they can be used in evidence against you further down the line.
  4. make a reference us millennials can understand, grandpa! not sure but i think this is a compliment. Why the fuck should he? This forum isn't the exclusive preserve of millennials...

Go to the Giraffe bar before the Burnley game and tell him yourself I'll try to remember next time I'm up. He's obsessed with the Krays mind, be careful wormy. Only because his arsehole was a repository for their spunk.

    David Squires

Sorry my response was to GM. Unsure what you were whooshing me for, tbh? I simply said that you're incredible - which you are!
  7. Oh it's not happening now? Well, I am truly amazed at that. Never saw that one coming a fucking mile off.

Not one of his better ones, no humour at all. You're incredible, man.

    RIP Freddy Shepherd

So. Farewell. Then. Freddy. Shepherd. Geordie businessman And working-class hero. You brought us highs. That glorious day in '96 when you brought Shearer Home. And then there were the lows. Floated like a butterfly king prawn, but stung by a Fake Sheikh. Called wor lasses dogs, and Wor Alan "Mary Poppins". And despite saying Wor Bob was Unsackable You. Still. Shot. Bambi. But still despite all that You weren't A Fat Cockney Bastard. So, in summary You'll be missed. Rest in Peace. [with apologies to E.J. Thribb, Private Eye]
  11. Structurally unsound. It'd never pass building standards.
  12. Thought I'd just log back on to bring a bit of Jonah curse luck back to the team.
  13. Aye, OK. What I mean is it's a small crumb of comfort. Decent man is Hughton.
  14. Thought I'd just log on to see how things were going. Glad to have been of help. Villa 0 - Brighton 1
  15. According to, not avoiding to. Stupid phone typo on my part. Apologies.
  16. Juventus and Inter Milan supposedly sniffing around Moussa avoiding to the gossip columnists. We got a seem on clause in there right?
  17. I've read this post a few times now and I'm still struggling to grasp the point you're apparently trying to make, assuming that you are indeed trying to make a point and not doing a Bristow? isn't he saying eatock was abused when a player at NUFC but the abuse was unrelated to the club itself? Well he's wrong, it was on the club's watch. The article said he was stalked to his hotel, unlike the Crewe case where Gradi was driving kids to Bennell's house. There was simply no knowledge and we binned him immediately when we found out. Unlike Crewe. Thanks for clarifying that, James. I still think the club has a duty of care, regardless. I suppose the thing that bothers me here is that there will be varying degrees of ineptitude, myopia and (god forbid) some actual malice or neglect uncovered as this whole thing unravels. Utterly grim and heartbreaking on the one hand, but hopeful (if that's the right word) in terms of these deviants finally beginning to be uncovered and hopefully turned over to the justice system.

  19. Impeccable logic, innit? Like: "Yeah, that was the idea Piers. I thought setting fire to that old folks' home would make those old people realise how close to death they were"
  20. Is it just me or does Eric Bristow remind you of someone else we all know rather too well for our liking? You know, that spud that owns NUFC and Sportdirect...

    Chapecoense

This is the Chapecoense players celebrating reaching the Copa Sudamericana final just 5 days ago. :(
  23. Good, I think that's the right thing to happen, actually. I know I was saying last night that removing Bristow's MBE wouldn't amount to much more than gesture politics, but actually having had time to reflect on that this morning, I've had a change of heart as I can totally see why it would be a useful thing to do in any case. We really can't be having people pollute the public discourse on an issue as sensitive and important as this with their ill-informed views on what it is to be a 'proper man'. People have suffered lasting psychological and emotional trauma as a result of the perverted actions and abuse of people who were in positions of trust and authority. It doesn't help to have idiots proclaiming that it wouldn't have happened to them etc.
