    Jonas Gutierrez

Jonas isn't good enough. IF we get promoted then he'll have to go and be replaced. Infuriating twat.
  2. No better supporter than Douggie Hall - he sat in an empty office in Gibralter for 5 years just to prove his love of the Toon.
  3. Steve Bruce. Surely our number 1 supporter.
  4. www.tvcatchup.com Has all the free to air channels on it. It usually good quality and the link need not be removed because there is no subsrcription channels on it.
  5. Xisco used to buy his Chutney from my Grandas Chutney Emporium. His Ferret feed from my aunties pet shop opposite the Centre for Life. I was on first name terms with Dave McReery. Great fella he was. Had sesh with Gazza (and his mate Jimmy) in Bar 42 at the time he had a frame on his shattered knee. He was piling through every cocktail on the coktail list (was on about 9 out of 14). Jimmy 5 Bellies barfed over the bar and they got chucked out - Gazza got arrested later the same night.
  6. Then why the fuck would we bring in a player on a 3 month loan that will need two or three weeks to get fit? Why not take him in three weeks when he'll at least be fitter surely. I hope you're wrong, unfit AND shit is all we need.
  7. Both playing at home tonight. Seems Greater Manchester Police have more about them than their North East counterparts who couldn't handle both NUFC and SAFC at the same time. Have, or when was the last time, both NE Clubs KO'd at home on the same day?
  8. SBR happy clappers man, dont let them get to you. They only remember moments under SBR which were good and forget some of the shyte that was churned out. What a crock of shit. Robson had lost the discipline of the squad, hence the introduction of the cunt Souness. Dyer etc had almost got SBR the sack with their shite attitude. SBR really neded to sell Dyer the day he refused to play and the fact he didn't did as much to undermine his position as anything.
  9. They were fucking shocking. I'm not bothered in the slightest to be out the competition but I'm actually shocked at how bad the future of the club is looking. Like you say I an't remember us putting anything of substance on target over the 80 minutes I watched - I'm glad I fucked off to get the 10pm train coz I'd not be in til 3am if I had of suffered on.
  10. It does make you wonder how he didn't know where Owen would put that ball when he scored. Owen only shoots with one foot, so the angle would only have been where he put it yet he fell backwards as Owen shot. Do you think he might not have been paying attention in three years of training at Darsley Park?
  11. Looking decidedly dodgy for Bassong. I hope it hurts. edit. fuck all wrong with him other than the shame of being a snidey two-faced bastard. But I'm nee doctor.
  12. And....? It's not a thread abut the match itself - its about who I loathe the most. I can't make my mind up.
  13. And its hard to work out who I detest the most Given or Owen. Cracking goal by Bellamy though.

    Joey Barton

Who wouldn't be pissed off if you thought you were behind Nicky Butt for playing in a position you see as your own. It must be quite demoralising.
  15. What effect does Butt have on the players around him. From my understanding he isn't a popular person in and around the training ground. In a way after being told this it makes sense how he might bring the worst out of players around him. I genuinely couldn't see a performance like that coming v Blackpool - it was grade A shite. It was a stark reminder of the shite played in the last 10/12 games of last season.
  16. Any news on how bad the break was? Retirement type injury or a mere flesh wound?
  17. I'd agree with all of that but my biggest worry is that Hughton will run scared of making the decision.
  18. Barton was out of sorts tonight (just got back) but he doesn't relish playing out wide and his performance reflects that. But, lets get back to that fucking pathetic piece of shite that masquerades as a professional footballer Nicky Butt. He was fucking woeful and it is no coincidence wahtsoever that our worst performance of the season so far coincided with Butts return. Goal aside I'd also say Carroll was extremely poor - he offered nothing. Ranger in his cameo appearance looked 100% more effective. Hughton fucked up big style last night from start to finish it was gash, long ball fucking rubbish.
  19. I hope Keegan gets fuck all. And I fail to understand anyone who wants him to take one single penny off the Club / Ashley. Do folk really think that Ashley will foot the bill? Or will it be likely that any payout to Keegan will end any further loan players coming in or players being almost thrown out the door at any old price to cover the cost come the next transfer window? Fuck off Keegan. I hope you get what you deserve. Nowt.
  20. Yes. I agree with that. It was a mistake appointing Keegan just as it would have been a mistake appointing any manager who wanted to be allowed to manage team affairs. Ashley could have appointed Alex Ferguson and it would have still gone tits up because the jumped up market stall lad had no intention of allowing that person to control team affairs. He apparently wanted Redknapp. Well if this was a genuine approach is there any wonder Redknapp turned it down, given the way he wants to bring players in and ship 'em out? Perhaps an approach was made and because Redknapp doesn't have the same connections with Newcastle (as Keegan) he was able to be detached and could see straight through the wide-boy, could guess what would really happen? Fact is, if Ashley had ideas of running the club in a certain fashion he needed to appoint people to certain roles who are willing and able to effectively operate under that model. He didn't do that and that's totally down to him. Nobody else. People who blame Keegan really do make me laugh. One dimensional thinking seems to be the name of the game. The state of the club is 100% down to Ashley. yes, it wouldve been a mistake to appoint redknapp in those circumstances too. no doubt he would've walked out (as he'd done twice before due to boardroom interference and so called DOFs at pompey and soton) and gone to spurs around the same time keegan walked. the bigger mistake in my view was not backing the right man when it came down to the crunch. you really have to back the person you think is best for the club in that situation and ashley ballsed it up on a gigantic scale. questions of who was in the right/wrong/i'll wait for the court case and so on are irrelevant, you have to be pragmatic. ashley's major decisions have sent us down, and THAT is the kind criteria you use when judging him. Agree to an extent...but you omit the players complete lack of effort from the equation. No way should that squad have been relegated last season.
  21. When Riise's done half of what Duff's done, then he can comment. But that is the exact attitude that got us relegated. Far too many players at the Club who's best years were well behind them. There was never any sense at all in signing Duff. He's been a plodder from the day we bought him. Face facts if he was any good would Chelsea have let him go?
