I can't help but think his performances this season are still linked to the Wonga fall out from the summer. Certainly in respect of his attitude and application. As bad as he's been, you don't go from wonder-player when he first joined to fucking useless now. Surely there's a happy medium? Watching him stroll around on Saturday, not giving a fuck and barely applying himself, it's clear he'll be gone come the summer but I can't help thinking there's still a player in there. Shame for all concerned.
  2. Went to the game in the Fulham end. What a fucking non-entity. It's always interesting watching a nothing game, from a neutral or away end and without the influence of fellow NUFC fans around you (no banter etc).............watching it cold, almost objectively (because you can't get involved vocally etc) brought a few (perhaps obvious) realisations. Our wide men are not wide men to start with. Colo is a class above anything else we've got. Not read the boards so don't know if MYM is getting stick for the goal but he was reasonably solid throughout, giving them little but offering fuck all going forward. Cisse looks finished at NUFC. It's surprising how much of our play goes through Tiote. Having no natural width/ability of our wide players to beat a man massively restricts our attacking threat. We've got some fairly physical players in the middle of the park but none of them have any guile. It's the same old stuff from a Pardew NUFC side...........no fluidity, no real game plan and seemingly no attacking intent. Anyway, shit game, shit home fans and shit performance against a Championship side who've had more managers this season than we've had good performances. They deserved their win. At least the sun was shining.
  3. Was in the Fulham end with a Client on Saturday and was really close to LDJ's area of the pitch so spent a lot of time watching him. Inevitably, he's not got a forward option when he wins the ball. 90% of the time he passes back into midfield. The partnership with him and Cisse just cannot work. Cisse was occupying LDJ's space loads in the first half so when LDJ won a ball, Cisse was surrounded by the same group of players as him. He's the type of forward that needs players making runs off him. I'm sure it's been said before but him down the middle and Remy and HBA moving either side would be the obvious short term solution. He's certainly competent in the air and gave Fulham's CB's some problems in that regard. It's no good winning flick on's or holding the ball up if you've got fuck all to work with though. I like him and feel we could do something with the guy but we'd have to mould our attacking set up around him.

I still think they'll stay up. I'm convinced they'll pull a couple of surprise results against the big 5 and see themselves to safety.
  5. Back in Jan maybe, the racist is off the boil atm, probably feels he's done enough for his big move to Madrid. 10 games left. They've only got to average 1.5 goals between them in every game for the remainder of the season to beat it. I've got no idea what they average return from their partnership is when they play together but it can't be far off that.
  6. If the race didn't have such a huge profile, it get's overturned there everyday. Without the interference, On His Own wins that, all day long. Yep, they bottled it. I didn't have a bet on either but after watching the replay, was beat by a short head and without interference, got to fancy On It's Own to win. Like you say, just a class 5 race around Sedgefield or something and no doubt the result would be overturned. 100%. I'd actually backed On His Own at 20/1 but genuinely wasn't expecting it to get so close. Feel heartfully sorry for all of those associated with the horse because they've been done out of a momentous occasion by a bunch of bottle jobs.
  7. Reckon there's a good chance Suarez and Sturridge will beat that this season.

  9. They were a very obvious class above us in the second leg. I think they had about 3 more gears if needed. Which they weren't.
  10. I've just done a couple of small E/W shouts on Whisper (25/1) & Calculated Risk (33/1) to have an outside interest in the race. Get in. Can't believe how much Whisper came in on the exchanges.
  11. I really fancy Dunguib. Was built up to be a superstar after winning the Bumper in 2009 but then failed as odds on favourite in the Supreme 2010 (finishing 3rd). Has been injured for a long time but returned this season finishing 3rd and then 1st in a Grade 2 at Navan. Trainer has talked it up and reckons it has a good chance. 12/1 this morning - not a bad each way bet if Paddy are paying 5. It's currently 14's on PP.

  13. Smashed it. Nice big win to set up the rest of the festival.
  14. Seems very light to me. If an opposition manager did something like that at our place, we'd be fucking disappointed with only 7 games. Brings the game majorly into disrepute and 7 games seems very light for that to me.
  15. Aye, on any other day, The New One wins that race comfortably.

  17. Had a BTTS accumulator on the following: Bburn Vs Burnley City Vs Wigan Hull Vs Sunderland. Thanks Mackems. Twas just a touch over 7/1. Arseholes.
  18. Harry Topper in the Gold Cup. Already in from 50's to 20's and is being talked about as a real contender.

Wait until the match has kicked off, take a steaming shit at home, waddle over the fence and into her garden. Proceed to wipe your manky bullet hole all over her washing. Job done.

They're going to do it aren't they?
  21. Goals on Sunday saying there's been contact with Mike Ashley this morning and he has confirmed he won't be sacking AP as a result of yesterday. Close the thread?
  22. Goals on Sunday just saying there's been contact with Mike Ashley this morning and he has confirmed he won't be sacking AP as a result of yesterday.
  23. Exactly right. It's a motion to take some heat out of the situation and to mitigate any FA action. I highly doubt that money will ever change hands.
  24. Absolutely loves owt like this His face is more mashed up than a bulldogs.
