Are you Alan Oliver in disguise? . Mate of the family is close to him.

I'll be VERY surprised if Shearer takes over whilst Freddie is still in the chair. My understanding is he'll wait until we're taken over and consider any offer then. On his backroom staff, I'm not ITK but would hazard a guess at:- Bobby Lee Gary Speed Lee Clark Tommy Craig back. I would think he'll look at Harper (who would have retired by then) or someone like Tim Flowers as a goalkeeping coach. Total guess on the staff though.

If we're being realistic, then its unlikely we'll be spending any more than £10m with a takeover looming. I reckon we'd be better off improving the defence as a priority and then, if we have the resource, improve further up the field. With a £10m budget, I'd spend as follows:- Buy Gooch - £2m Heinze - £5m Davies - £6m Beattie - £1.5m Total = £14.5m Sell Luque - £3m Carr - £1m Ramage - £0.5k Sib - Release Total = £4.5m I'd keep Baba as cover and make a right back a priority for Jan 08 window. I'd also keep Bramble as a squad player.

Nobby - I've just applied for two online at uefa.com. You're entered into a ballot and they let you know by 23rd March. I'll flog them on if we don't make it to the final. The name of the ticket holder and his/her ID number will be printed on the ticket(s) allocated. Id will be requested upon entry to the stadium. Read that but I doubt whether they'll actually enforce it. How can they? I ordered TWO tickets and I'll give one to my old man if we get there. Theres no law saying we've got to enter the stadium together and I gave my national insurance number. I think it's designed to put 'black marketers' off TBH.

I'll flog them on if we don't make it to the final. how much are the tickets you have gone for, or do they not tell you? Their are 4 Categories;- Cat 1 - £80 Cat 2 - £65 Cat 3 - £50 Cat 4 - £30 Those figures aren't exact but will give you some idea. I just applied for a couple of the cheap ones. I did have 2 Cat A's in the box but changed it as I my bottle went TBH. I do fancy one english side getting to the final and being able to flog them on if I have to but I'm not THAT confident to risk being left with 200 quids worth of tickets to an AZ - Zulte final or something daft like that!!

Leeds? Aye, good call Nobby Lad. Did they sell their big earners after relegation though or before? I seem to remember (could well be wrong mind) they ended up going down with a few kids playing (Milner, Lennon and co) and assumed thats because they'd sold a few of their stars by that point.

Is this biscuit fella absolutely monied then? Because if not, surely they've got to have the biggest wage bill of a team ever to be relegated? Think of all of their players who'll be on £25k+ per week: Tevez Mascherano (obviously he's going to be off but their still paying him atm) Sheringham Ashton? Ferdinand Bowyer Reo-Coker Gabbidon? Harewood? Cole? Zamora? Neill Upson Boa Morte Green? Davenport Benayoun Quashie? I know Brum would've had a few big earners when they went down but surely no side has ever gone down with such a big wage bill? Magnusson's going to have to subsidise wages to the tune of millions if they drop. Some of the players will probably have a 'relegation wage drop' in the event the Hammers go, but it's still alot of wonger for them to find before they start to rebuild. Happy Days.

Quite pleased for him actually. His professionalism in Spain, since he signed for LA Galaxy, deserves a bit of good fortune. I like the fact he hasn't whinged that Capello dropped him. Fair play.

Can anyone find an online bookie giving odds on Curbs being the next man for the chop? I might have a few quid on it just in case the biscuit baron wields his untimely axe again. I've tried the usual bookies I use to no avail. Thanks

Would anyone have Ashton over Owen? He might be a better partner for Oba than wor Mickey. I'd have Oba, Owen and Ashton Me too. I've always really wanted Ashton here. He'd be a perfect foil for a quick forward. Don't think the Hammers would have to sell him though with the new fella's cash. On another note, does any reckon they might sack Curbs if he takes them down? Wouldn't surprise me if they did TBH.

Love the last one.

As much as I think Woodgate is a class CB, he was caught hopelessly out of position when Morientes blasted that sitter over in the first half. I noticed that too AND he got raped for the goal by Villa. He's not Titus TBH .

I watched Duff at Fulham last week and he was either miles off match fitness OR is completely disinterested in playing for us. Somethings not right with him. For what its worth, I suspect he isn't actually fit and was 'encouraged' to come back to the first 11 asap. I don't think he's the type of player to be a lazy twat and sit here to collect his wages. After all, he left Chelsea for regular football. He might not have had to take a pay cut to come to us but he sure as hell won't be getting MORE money so the move was not cash driven. He hasn't joined us to sit on his arse and collect wages - he could've done that with Chelsea far more conspicuously as there would have no pressure on him to play week in, week out and he could have settled into the background whilst picking up a lot more win bonuses - see Arjen Robben. I say give him the first couple of months of next season before righting him off and don't forget he hasn't actually played THAT many games in his preferred position since he joined. The lads played up front alone, off the striker and left back since he's joined and he hasn't had a run of games in any of those positions. Time will tell.

Was waiting for this....................... Since when has making money had anything to with heart?

I wouldnt bet on Cardiff away. They are quite dodgy away. Yeah, see what you are saying as I've lost money on Cardiff a few times this season, however, I think they've turned a corner and would imagine against a poor Coventry side, they are a shoe-in.
-
Oh yeah. I forget about Mark Lawrenson too. I can't stand that whiney, whingey prick. I wouldn't get sick of slapping his twisty face. HATE him.
-
For this weekend, I'm thinking of putting these two bets on:- Portsmouth Vs Man City = Draw @ 9/4 Coventry Vs Cardiff = Cardiff @ 6/4 Preston Vs Wolves = Preston @ 8/11 £5 treble Pays £70 with Skybet Reading Vs Aston Villa = Villa @ 5/2 Newcastle Vs Liverpool = Pool @ Evens West Ham Vs Watford = Hammers @ 4/5 A £1.25 Trixie (£5) pays about £40 I think. I can't see us beating Pool, I think Villa will have too much up top (with Carew & Young) for Reading and I can't see Watford scoring against the Hammers.

The England band, the silly fat fuckers who take their tops off when following the Toon (you know the 82 stone wankers with so many tattoos they look like a fucking colouring book) AND Phil 'Big nosed Twat' Thompson. I hate that bastard.
-
I've have to say Lads, I can't believe he's genuinely injured. He's another Marcelinho this fucker. His bottles gone, he's fell out with Roeder and he's angling for a move. Thats my opinion. Between him and Babayaro they've had enough injuries to sponsor their own medical wing at the bastard General. Bollocks in my opinion. The quicker he fucks off, the better - EVEN if he's not replaced. I'd rather have his wages in the coffers.

More exciting than Ginola? Bellamy? Martins? Beardsley? Not for me.
-
Name me a better midfielder in the last 25 years. Goals scored. Goals made. Rob Lee Gavin Peacock Scott Sellars Nobby Solano Peter Beardsley (played in midfield under KK) All better than Robert as players, regardless. True. I really don't get the "Robert Wankfest" some people have STILL got going on. He was lucky to have Speed covering for him most of the time he was in the side and even more fortunate to cross balls into Shearer that any normal forward would have no right to win. Having Bellamy "harrying" everything didn't hurt either.
