  1. Carlos Tevez to score at any time in the West Ham Vs Spurs game looks a really good bet at 11/4. I've got no money left in my account after yesterday but if I did then I'd have a bash at this.
  2. Can't believe the slating Rooney is getting on here TBH. The kid is only 21, has had a few injuries this season and no summer break last year (i.e: No time to recover from his metertarsal before the WC). He's a real talent. A class above anything we've got in our squad and he has the potential to lead Englands attack for years. Oh, and for me, Jenas deserves all the stick he gets. Don't get what he offers England or Spurs for that matter. Can't tackle, rarely commits going forward, almost always passes sideways, hasn't really got a shot on him and can't head for toffee. Ideal for the middle of the park, eh?
  3. Stevie, Offemont pulled up half way around the course. Hope you didn't lump on too heavy.
  4. Not one fucking quote about targets from anyone remotely related to the club. I must sell papers, I must sell papers. He's like Bart Simpson at the beginning of their credits writing his lines on the blackboard. Mindless drivel. There's nothing in that article based around a fact.
  5. Cheers Stevie. I only got 9/4 on Skybet but lumped on anyway.
  6. i'll completely respect the sentements you give in this post if you will also say that you would like dyer out of the club as well. I've got no time for Dyer either to be honest but on the whole I don't think he's as much of a liability as Bellamy behaviour-wise. Bellamy is more effective on the pitch imo though. I'd shed no tears if Dyer left, he's made a cracking living out of us. Too good really considering what he's given back.

    West Ham charged

Old type, You were in the majority mate. You would have have been labelled crazy the start of the season to say that the side that finished seventh last year AND got to the F.A Cup Final would be relegated. After they signed the two Argies, you would have been labelled mental. Thats football, eh?

    West Ham charged

Bollocks. Just said in the betting thread that I fancied them for a cheeky shock win over the spuds on Sunday. I'm sure this will do their confidence the world of fucking good. Away from my gambling antics, I'm happy would love to see the fuckers go down. If, for no reason other than the bastard hammer who runs my office block constantly saying 'you'll win nuffink wif Roeder - he's a cant'. To which, I now respond, "he's a cunt with a premiership side to manage next year son, how's Curbs these days?"
  9. There is an irrelevance to this post in that Owen is more than likely to return for next season and some of the players we're trying to factor in will not be here any more. Roeder will also buy new personnel too, if he's given the finances. Emre will probably go and it wouldn't surprise me if N'Zog spits his dummy and goes somewhere. I say worry about next seasons formation and tactics when we know what choices we have to fill them.
  10. Lets be honest it was only a matter of time until the jumped up little twat did something like this. I give it 8-12 months and he'll be at it again. Making his mouth go, nutting birds, chinning his own team mates, getting sent off, beating his Mrs up. He's a grade A arsehole and I don't really want the twat at NUFC. He's a great little player but a fucking timebomb. We've got Martins, who's younger, faster and significantly more proffesional (so far that is - appreciate its very early to judge). If someone offered me, 5 year years of Martins scoring 15 goals a season or 5 years of Bellamy scoring 20, I'd take Martins everyday even with the African Nations shite we'll have to put up with. He's no hassle.
  11. Good post. My thoughts too. No doubting he's a top player but I'd much rather have a quality left back or right back thats going to give us five years or more good service.
  12. My two bets this weekend. Derby & West Ham to win = 5/1 (for the double) on Skybet. Daft few quid on that. Tranmere Vs Chesterfield @ 4/6 Portsmouth Vs Chelsea @ 8/15 Coventry Vs Hull @ 3/1 Bristol City Vs Northampton @ 4/7 Notts Forest Vs Huddersfield @ 4/7 Swansea Vs Leyton Orient @ 3/1 I'm doing any four from six with that bet. £1 per line = £15 bet with potential winnings of £375.09 if all six come in. Very unlikely both Hull and Orient will win but I fancy one or the other which should see the bet come good. Hopefully.
  13. They are at the minute mate but alot of that is down to confidence. They've added to a squad good enough to finish seventh last year. So they aren't (or rather shouldn't be!) that poor a side. That said, I wouldn't put the mortgage on them winning, it's just a daft couple of quid. You can't tell me ANYONE thought they would be relegated when the season started let alone when they signed Tevez & Mascherano. There is obviously a lot of shit going off behind the scenes down there but, that said, they'll be smarting after last weeks raping at Charlton and I'd expect them to come out all guns blazing.

    Woodgate!

Fucking hell - its a wonder he can get a drink anywhere. No wonder he fucked off to Madrid.
  15. I reckon there is a twist still to come in this seasons relegation battle and fancy West Ham for a shock win over Spurs on Sunday. With Spurs form away from home leaving a lot to be desired and West Ham with more than a small point to prove after last week a shock could be in the offing. Bowyers back as well and he can influence a game if he's up for it. My only worry is the Hammers shite defence being exposed to an in-form Berbatov. Its a shame the odds are only 2/1 as I might have lumped on. I might just stick them in a cheeky double with Derby tonight. Derby @ 8/11 West Ham @ 2/1 £5 pays £26.

    Owen

I might be miles off here but I really don't think he's the kind of bloke to walk out after only making 11 appearances for the club. He just couldn't do that to us, surely? Nobody with an ounce of morality would let their employer pay them whilst off sick (on full pay for a year), have the best medical treatment in the world, give them use of a private box, no doubt transport to all his sponsored 'events', employ a personal fitness coach for them to leave a few months after being declared fit. No matter how much you hated your job, company, boss, work mates or anything would you do that. You would be (rightly) considered a complete arse by all and sundry in whatever industry you worked. I have to say, if he did that, I'd be really really surprised.
  17. Are you Alan Oliver in disguise? . Mate of the family is close to him.
  18. I'll be VERY surprised if Shearer takes over whilst Freddie is still in the chair. My understanding is he'll wait until we're taken over and consider any offer then. On his backroom staff, I'm not ITK but would hazard a guess at:- Bobby Lee Gary Speed Lee Clark Tommy Craig back. I would think he'll look at Harper (who would have retired by then) or someone like Tim Flowers as a goalkeeping coach. Total guess on the staff though.
  19. If we're being realistic, then its unlikely we'll be spending any more than £10m with a takeover looming. I reckon we'd be better off improving the defence as a priority and then, if we have the resource, improve further up the field. With a £10m budget, I'd spend as follows:- Buy Gooch - £2m Heinze - £5m Davies - £6m Beattie - £1.5m Total = £14.5m Sell Luque - £3m Carr - £1m Ramage - £0.5k Sib - Release Total = £4.5m I'd keep Baba as cover and make a right back a priority for Jan 08 window. I'd also keep Bramble as a squad player.
  20. Nobby - I've just applied for two online at uefa.com. You're entered into a ballot and they let you know by 23rd March. I'll flog them on if we don't make it to the final. The name of the ticket holder and his/her ID number will be printed on the ticket(s) allocated. Id will be requested upon entry to the stadium. Read that but I doubt whether they'll actually enforce it. How can they? I ordered TWO tickets and I'll give one to my old man if we get there. Theres no law saying we've got to enter the stadium together and I gave my national insurance number. I think it's designed to put 'black marketers' off TBH.
  21. Nobby - I've just applied for two online at uefa.com. You're entered into a ballot and they let you know by 23rd March. I'll flog them on if we don't make it to the final. how much are the tickets you have gone for, or do they not tell you? Their are 4 Categories;- Cat 1 - £80 Cat 2 - £65 Cat 3 - £50 Cat 4 - £30 Those figures aren't exact but will give you some idea. I just applied for a couple of the cheap ones. I did have 2 Cat A's in the box but changed it as I my bottle went TBH. I do fancy one english side getting to the final and being able to flog them on if I have to but I'm not THAT confident to risk being left with 200 quids worth of tickets to an AZ - Zulte final or something daft like that!!

  23. Leeds? Aye, good call Nobby Lad. Did they sell their big earners after relegation though or before? I seem to remember (could well be wrong mind) they ended up going down with a few kids playing (Milner, Lennon and co) and assumed thats because they'd sold a few of their stars by that point.
  24. Is this biscuit fella absolutely monied then? Because if not, surely they've got to have the biggest wage bill of a team ever to be relegated? Think of all of their players who'll be on £25k+ per week: Tevez Mascherano (obviously he's going to be off but their still paying him atm) Sheringham Ashton? Ferdinand Bowyer Reo-Coker Gabbidon? Harewood? Cole? Zamora? Neill Upson Boa Morte Green? Davenport Benayoun Quashie? I know Brum would've had a few big earners when they went down but surely no side has ever gone down with such a big wage bill? Magnusson's going to have to subsidise wages to the tune of millions if they drop. Some of the players will probably have a 'relegation wage drop' in the event the Hammers go, but it's still alot of wonger for them to find before they start to rebuild. Happy Days.
  25. Quite pleased for him actually. His professionalism in Spain, since he signed for LA Galaxy, deserves a bit of good fortune. I like the fact he hasn't whinged that Capello dropped him. Fair play.
