Agreed. New contract looks premature.

Turns like milk and as slow as fuck. I’m not wholly convinced by any of our CB’s right now tbh. That was fucking stupid today.

No question from me that he’s been badly let down by so many individuals this season. Right up and down the pitch. Pope - chucking goals in. Ramsdale - not much better than Pope Tonnes of individual errors across the back four. Ramsay - too long to settle. Joelinton - gone missing in too many games. Tonali - nowhere near the same player as last season imho. Gordon/Barnes - sometimes good, sometimes shit. Wissa - moves like a veteran footballer now. Elanga - utterly garbage. Massive let down for Howe given the fee. Murphy - Not looked like the same player of last couple of years, as limited as that guy was. This one is miles worse. On top of that, we’ve been hugely unlucky to lose Bruno for so long too. For me, there’s only really Hall, Bruno and Miley that can hold their heads high.

We’ve also completely lost our ability to shithouse/see games out. Seems like a total culture/mentality change in the way we approach games.

The context of today’s defeat (Derby disaster to make amends for, plenty of time on the grass, tired AND weakened Palace team etc) means it’s an awful result for him, made worse by the ‘performance’. If we’re honest, we barely deserved our 1. Genuine question, are those players still playing for him? Last two games suggest not to me. Gut feel is that he’ll walk. Which, imho, he’s earned given his achievements here. He’s a really dignified bloke who’s majorly struggled this season, for reasons discussed thousands of times in this thread and others, but this really does feel like the wheels are coming off…. I fear the Derby game was where he ‘lost’ many match going supporters and I’m not sure he can win them back over any sustainable period now the doubts have set in for so many fans. I hope he does if he stays.

We are crying out for a technical RW.

This is like a pre season friendly. A non league one. Rancid.

Because our last signing from Forest went so well….

This was the original post @John P. Bit more background if you’re interested…

I was told he didn’t like the dynamic between Staveley and Howe (direct line essentially cutting him out)…..

Mix of the two. The superstars, Robinson aside, are mainly lads we’ve signed from elsewhere. Have a look at my post earlier in the thread talking about them a little bit more. Lucas Flack, the GK we signed from Leyton Orient, had 12 offers from PL clubs when we got him. He’s already playing under 18’s for us regularly and he’s 14 or maybe just turned 15. As I said a couple of months ago, there’s a very good feeling amongst the academy that this under 15 team has HUGE potential. Certainly they thought then it was in the top 2 in the country (alongside Chelsea). There’s an argument to say it’s now the best.

Particularly when two thirds of today’s squad was from the under 14 age group too. An unbelievable achievement in that context.
-
Final has gone to pens. 1-1 in normal time.
-
3-1 winners. Final awaits later today (PSG). Robinson with a ridiculous free kick for the third.
-
Borussia Monchengladbach in the semis. Currently 1-0 down. Into the second half.
-
Topped the group and now into the semis.
-
Beat Club Brugge 2-1. Big win. There’s only about 5 actual under 15’s in the group again today. Mainly the 14’s making up the squad again. So they’ve done really well all things considered.
-
1-1 with FC Midtjylland having started the better team and went 1-0 up. That was the game they were most concerned about from the initial draw.

Aye. Was a fucking shocking view so you’ll definitely want to move as soon as you get in as scores of others will be doing the same. Palace is my worst away ground. Shithole of an area, crappy old stadium and music after their goals. It’s the only ground I’ve been to where I’d never go back. Makes the West Road look like Beverley Hills.
-
Aye. Much more than that though. Plays as a floating 10 for NUFC and also for England where he plays a year up. Local lad. Huge potential.
-
Just drawn 2-2 with an Estonian side. Currently top of the group.

Eddie has been in Darras for over a year. Moved because people would stop and congregate outside his driveway in Gosforth and he wanted more privacy. If we’re now into reading into renovation works, Livramento has had planning permission awarded for a new gymnasium and fitness suite to be installed at his house too 😂. Jacob Ramsey has lived in Isak’s old house since he joined too afaik.

Under 15’s in Rotterdam for a tournament this weekend (starts today). Some very good teams in it from across Europe. Our group is fairly straightforward other than FC Midtjylland who are always very strong. We’ve won the first game against a Canadian Academy team 2-0. Charlie Robinson with one of the goals and it was a banger. Chest down and volley from the edge of the box. Plenty of good teams in it; Man U, Club Brugge, PSG, Feyenoord, Wolfsburg and West Ham to name a few.
