If they aren't brought in within the next week you can forget about more than one of them actually being used for the Watford game. It would be amazing if we could have some players ready for Cambridge so they can get a soft introduction to our team and tactics. Find it hilariously ironic that the people who are saying we need 6-7 players this window in order to stay up are some of the same who also are now saying that there's no rush in getting players in this early and that people who are saying we should have had signings ready by now are unrealistic/unreasonable. I mean even if we get proven quality in, it's not reasonable to expect half a new team to perform, battle and deliver results immediately.

We should have lined up a body or two ahead of the window opening so they could run through the doors in 16 hours and start working with Howe to be as prepared as possible to contribute in a very important set of "6 pointers" in January against Leeds and Watford. It will be chaos if we bring in 4-6 first team members in second half of January and expect them to perform as a team immediately while not having picked up important points in January due to lack of quality/cohesion. That's not panic, just common sense.

Agree 100%, but it should still get attention on the training field so it is in the back of the CB's heads during matches, while we wait for better players. I saw both Schar and Lascelles, completely unchallenged, with available team mates not under pressure close by head the ball needlessly up field to none specific only for us to lose possession. Even Schar and Lascelles would be able to find a team mate in those situations if they were concious about it.

The assist was anything but a goal served on a platter, and I thought both Joelinton and Shelvey did more to anonymise man utd midfield than Longstaff did. Maybe he is nailed on as you say, but I don't agree that should be the case.

The amount of times both Schar and Lascelles headed the ball completely or relatively unchallenged without even trying to aim the header at a team mate was one of the most infuriating things I noticed this match. We lost possession and invited pressure onto ourselves so many times due to this. It needs to be adressed and worked on in training.

He was ok yesterday by his own recent standards, and the pass to ASM was perfectly weighted. He did some things well, and other things still as frustrating as ever. Missing out on potential interceptions due to reacting too slowly, not getting in the right positions due to himself having an incredibly slow turn of pace, not taking shots outside of the box when he had the opportunity to do so (thus not taking advantage of one of the few good traits he has). He clearly took Howes challenge to heart and tried his best - but I don't think that was enough to guarantee a start against Everton.

We still desperately need a CM in the mould of Kamara, Sanches, Bennacer but with Joelinton cementing one of the CM positions as his own recently I don't think 2 new CM's in January is essential to stay up. More important to get a striker in due to Wilson probably being out for a long time.
