  1. No team will have a better opportunity than this to beat Everton with all their injuries. Fully expect us to sit back and salvage a draw no matter how much Everton invites us to play for the win.
  2. Hope not. Bruce would somehow manage to force him into the side together with Hayden, Shelvey and Hendrick. Would be more awful to watch than the deadly trio of Butt, Smith and Geremi under Allardyce.
  3. Didn't someone call a Murphy goal earlier in this thread?
  4. It's worst when the defenders have the ball, even in acres of space they are scared to carry the ball forward, they end up just passing it uselessly amongst themselves until it ends up being hoofed forward. Tbf it is the only opportunity they have to string more than two passes together, so maybe they're padding the stats?
  5. It's funny to watvh. The players have no clue what to do when in posession and just wing it. To me that looks like the main reason why they can't string more than two passes together. There's no recognized pattern of play. The players with the ball have no idea where team mates are, will be or what runs they are likely to make.
  6. As long as we don't play too many attackers we should be ok. 2-0 defeat.
  7. Wasn't aware it was only one year contract. Fair enough then Still don't think he'll add any value to Brighton, but at least he won't be to the detriment of the team by taking up a decent wage for x years better spent elsewhere.
  8. I would never base my judgement of a team on a performance against West Ham
  9. Think Bruce has decided he's 'Rafa's player'. It's absolutely bonkers. I've never been Almirons biggest fan with his ridiculous theatrics, but you could put him literally anywhere in our midfield except for ASM and he'd improve the team massively.
  10. Worth mentioning that Hayden is anchoring the midfield behind Shelvey and Hendrick as well
  11. Fuck man. I turn on the game, Liverpool scores. Turn off. Look at live score, Everton has equalised, turn game back on. Liverpool takes the lead again, turn off game. Look at live score, Everton has equalised. Turn game back on, Everton get red card and Liverpool scores again. Any way I can channel this in a way that I can manipulate Newcastle games? Edit: Just noticed it got disallowed, after turning off the match Not gonna put it back on!

    Jeff Hendrick

He's about as average as his name is. Good addition to the squad in its current state as long as he's used centrally.
  13. What is that based on, not calling you out, but I haven't seen it. I know they most likely prefer the american model with the draft picks, but I don't see this link. Stability for Liverpool/Man United? They aren't in danger of relegation any time soon. FWIW I would actually like a draft here, not that logistically its possbile really. I just see it as typical big club power grab. It's not an American thing anymore. If you look at new sports, f.ex E-sports, all the big teams around the world wants a franchise style league to protect their own brand. That's the route they've gone at Riot games and Blizzard, and all the teams have fought for a similar arrangement in CS:GO the last couple of years as well, only partly managing to do so since Valve is not as hands on with the e-sports side of the game as other game developers. If football was a newer sport, this is definitely the way it would have gone too imo, sadly.
  14. This was my initial feeling too Maybe I'm a bit naive but feel like the big 6 would shoot themselves in the foot if they did this? I don't think I've ever heard anyone saying or seen anyone writing that they want a super league.
  15. 100% with Kaiz. The formation and 11 against Serbia was embarrassing and it was painfully obvious they would not be able to create chances for the forwards. The changes that was made against Romania, a left back that doesn't have a club and isn't match fit for one that is, and the left winger who's a really defensive central midfielder for a natural winger with pace is something the majority of the Norwegian population that is mildly interested in Football would have been able to do.
  16. Some Steve Bruce type of management for Norway today. Stick 11 players behind the ball and hope that Ødegård, Haaland and Sørloth makes something happen in attack. So frustrating to have the most talented set of players we'll see in generations available and still start with a rigid 4-4-2 with three central defensive midfielders, one of them forced out on the left wing and Ødegård right wing.
  17. Pretty much. We can compete against teams with no pace thanks to Wilson, ASM and Almiron. That's about it.
  18. At least he has finally worked out we need 3 midfielders. Your faces when you realize it's 4-4-2 with Hendrick wide right
  19. Isn't he just coming back from Injury? Understandable if that's the case. Wasn't aware of that.
  20. Criminal that there isn't room for Pulisic to start in that team. He's exactly what they need against a compact Palace team.
