Didn't see highlights of the Chelsea game until now. Glad to see two out of two of those stupid jumping penalties were missed this round.

I think you'll stay up thanks to the atmosphere and fight you've shown at home basically since our game against you. You showed the same against Man Utd. I didn't get to see the Leicester game though but those two games, if you can replicate that against Brentford and Palace you should be safe. Hope you don't take some of the comments on here personally! For the overall quality of the league everyone is better off with Everton staying up imo, but I reckon we could manage fine one season without just for the lols

Tbf first minute of game time he won possession and unleashed the sexiest through ball of the season for us, so difficult to say. Indications are that he would have handled being thrown straight in, but we had the luxury of easing him in at the time so it made sense to do it. Well handled by Howe.

Same. Held up and distributed the ball better than Wood has. Granted, it was against a lacklustre Norwich so wouldn't expect him to do the same against better and more motivated opponents.

Easiest game of the season. Didn't think anyone bar Bruno and Joelinton played particularly well. Norwich completely gave up a 0-3.

Yeah, he hasn't played well in general, but neither has Willock. At least Longstaff has created something.

He's done ok, and a fantastic pass for Murphy ahead of our first goal. As far as our midfield 3 goes, Willock is the first that should be subbed based on performance so far.

Don't think anyone is saying we shouldn't sign him? Some people say IF Howe has another target in mind he prefers over Targett then they are comfortable with letting Targett go back to Villa which I think is fair enough on the basis of trusting the manager to make the best decision for the club. We should sign Targett permanently though.

Tin hat & Devil's Advocate name sign on, but could it not be that they are being very thorough/selective and maybe want assurances on how the money will be spent by the chosen charities? Still doesn't excuse how long it's taken though, and don't really feel they've served more than personal agendas in general. Will not renew my membership unless changes are made.

He did pretty shit wherever he went after he left us. He looked quite unfit when he came here and fitness didn't seem to get any better. Safe to say he was winding down his career either due to injury or lack of motivation. Think we got rid of him at a good time.

If Jack Colback, Jeff Hendrick, Tom Davies and the Leicester regen morphed into one person, he'd be maybe half the player Rice is.

At the very best, with the exception of maybe Hayden, if those players would take a wage cut to get regular football we'd be lucky if someone would take them off our hands for free. Wouldn't surprise me if most of them would stay until their contracts expire, maybe accept to go out on loan. Nobody at the level they are suited for have the ability to pay what these players would want based on their current deals.

Difficult to say who's best between Bernard, Enrique and Targett since they have/had so different qualities. It comes down to what type of player you prefer or what type of system you play imo. F.ex Targett wouldn't perform as well as Bernard did in SBRs system. Bernard woulnd't perofrm as well as Targett is under the current system Howe plays.
