I know you've been critical of the signing and his 10 min cameo against Liverpool. What did you not like about his performance against Barca? Watching the game on tv he seemed to handle himself really well. Dribbling off his press, distributed the ball well both short and long, managed to win the ball back high up the pitch after set pieces to maintain pressure...didn't really seem, to me at least, to put a foot wrong?

Schar has a head injury literally every game. If he says he is fit to continue i reckon Howe trusts (or trusted?) his judgement based on his track record.

No doubt that both Thiaw and Botman are better ball playing defenders than Schar and Burn. Maybe something to consider against teams that will press us high up the pitch going forward. A bit of clever nice play between the two that started the attack for our goal.

If Barnes had managed to shuffle his feet so the ball from Elanga went on his right foot it would be 1-0 going into the 2nd half.

Even steven in the 1st half was probably fair. Without counting it felt like we were dominant 1st half of the half, with Barca dominating the second. Great atmosphere, exciting game. Love it.

Højlund made a great run in behind for Napoli yesterday and score. Another time was played through on a 1v2 where he dribbled two defenders and laid the ball off to De Bruyne whom could have easily scored. These are good players. They just get the life sucked out of them at Man Utd, regardless of who the manager is. I think Sesko would have been a success here.
