As a b person I feel compelled to play devils advocate here and say that it doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't care just because he is a bit late from time to time. It could just mean he really struggles to get up in the morning. As long Howe is happy with him I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

It's a difficult one to manage. Burn is such a big character for the club, in the dressing room and playing the best football of his career. Botman is the future and is probably in all honesty a better player than Burn. It's been fine up until now due to Botmans injury problems, but now that he has proven his fitness by being injury free for some time I'm glad it isn't me having to do the selection. I felt subbing Botman on against Barca smacked of pleasing Botman rather than making the sub to get something from the game. Maybe to some extent using a back 5 against Leeds and Bournemouth (B'mouth game less so) too.

Our KO routine sucks just as much as Popes passing tbh. Just because the team is comfortable losing possession in attempts at creating chances rather than just circulating the ball without real intent in order to not lose it doesn't mean we should actively give the ball away willingly to the opponents.

If this was my FM save I'd go with Ramsdale Trippier-Thiaw-Botman-Ashby Miley-Bruno-Willock Murphy-Osula-Barnes Joelinton for Bruno after first half. Just so we can play a fresh 11 against Arsenal of Pope Livramento-Schar-Burn-Hall Bruno-Tonali-Joelinton Elanga-Woltemade-Gordon Howe will take the competition more seriously than me in a video game though.

You're better off ignoring him. Every manager in the world would do better if they got their first picks on players. It's stating the fucking obvious. Howe has been heavily involved in all our transfers this window, and been backed with a lot of money. We shouldn't feel bad for him at all in that sense.

That's an entirely different point than you were making which I don't disagree with. We know our wide forwards can do better though, but that they lack consistency. Its not like they are suddenly shit. When they hit form, Wissa & Ramsey are back and the team knows each other better I think we'll just get better and better as the season progresses.

Bournemouth lost, a bit undeserved, against Liverpool in the first game of the season. Three wins in a row (in the league) after that. A 0-0 draw here is an excellent result.

Bournemouth is a high pressing, high intensity team. If we play like this for another 20-30 minutes then switch up against their tired legs we have a really good chance at winning here.
